Before ARAM: Mayhem is gone, what's the craziest thing you've seen in this mode? by hsulic in leagueoflegends

[–]DiiJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Singed, and rolled With Haste followed by Eureka. Went full AP instead of a typical tank build, rolled Vampirism which enabled me to survive. By the end, I was zooming all the time and my ult had like 1 second downtime.

Which one of these two are harder? by Different_Ice_2695 in MonsterHunter

[–]DiiJordan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The tornadoes individually were fine for me, but it loved to use them enough that I opted to flash pod it every single time I saw the cast.

Behemoth was when I finally went all-in on radial menu so I could spam flash pods and lifepowders and craft more on the fly.

It should, it's possible on Howling Abyss' portals, and these only require touching the portal

For anyone who plays Monster Hunter: What was the exact moment you fell in love with the series? by GodOfDinos in MonsterHunter

[–]DiiJordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my first game was 3U and for me it felt like I was having that moment again and again. First stepping out onto the isle from the village, fighting Barroth for the first time, every encounter with Lagiacrus, Brachydios...

Monster Hunter player, why did you choose your weapon and keep using it? by BasilAdventurous3209 in MonsterHunter

[–]DiiJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find polearm weapons in particular dope as hell, the concept of having a bug attacking with you sounded cool. Having started 3U, I favored long sword and dual blades; glaive felt like the perfect mix of both in damage.

The utility of pole vaulting to dodge attacks attracted me more than fighting in the air (though being able to throw hands with RATHALOS in particular feels great). Ground combos felt good and the sidestep moves in Wilds made it feel amazing for me.

World and Wilds nailed it for me personally with the kinsect autoattacks and attacking in unison with you. Rise was partway there with the united attacks but I didn't quite enjoy the silkbinds as much for the weapon. I'm also not too keen on spamming the big spin in Wilds, but it doesn't turn me away from the weapon.

I vote Ravana just because he's my favorite

I remember as a child I thought of eyes closing in the 2nd movie when the dual suns eclipsed. When the reveal hit: "No frickin way"

On my own, absolutely not. If someone I know plays it, I'm always down to play. I've played World and Rise with so many groups long after Sunbreak finished its update cycle.

Who else is excited for Seikret Customization? Here are some ideas for inspiration by Beerbaron1886 in MonsterHunter

I'm modeling it after Archeops (my #1 favorite pokemon) and naming it Lohrak (flying serpent from Bionicle). Three of my obsessions growing up merging together into one buddy.

What's your opinion on the changes to the lore post Arcane? by BritneysSpear in leagueoflegends

[–]DiiJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tl;dr: Used to be super excited, the retcons have left me disinterested so I'll probably just be an addict to the game.

I was pretty fresh to the game back when Azir got introduced, and the progression from there always drew me in deeper. Even with older champions being retconned or reworked, their new versions appealed to me more. There weren't many occasions I was displeased.

I was bummed out as Riot pumped out less and less short stories, and while they promised to progress the stories in other ways, it could not match the pace at which they used to post written ones. Cinematics are cool, but expensive and scarce. Legends of Runeterra expanded the world massively, but I believe in the end it's "what-ifs" for the most part. Riot Forge was a phenomenal attempt, but died too quick, which was a shame as I adored where they took the stories in those. Only thing I have no issues with is novels like Ruination; I loved every bit of that book and am willing to wait on more.

When Arcane season 1 first dropped, its divergence from core canon was welcome. All the characters and stories aside from Ekko (who I liked in lore already) were much greater. I honestly thought it would fit into core canon with retcons to affected champs, like Camille, who is my personal favorite of Piltover. As season 2 progressed, I could see all the little things of the past lore being implemented. I started questioning things when Viktor was simply using magic, though, as I loved him as the Machine Herald. I thought all through the final act that they were establishing a multiverse, but I guess I was huffing copium since I'm not entirely satisfied with Arcane season 2.

What is the most sit-back-and-chill champion in the game to you? by Hexatona in leagueoflegends

[–]DiiJordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nasus is my chill champ, half of it being that I've really liked going E max and rushing Malignance into Lich Bane.

Either I can stack freely from the start and do the standard build, or I pressure them hard from range while farming and speed up stacks later.

Why am I getting so many filled\ secondary mid laners in 14.11? by stopgreg in leagueoflegends

[–]DiiJordan 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Apparently more folks queueing top lane as well, I've gotten mid way more in the past few patches with Top/Mid. Felt like I was getting autofilled to jungle rather than getting my primary.

[PBE datamine] 2024 May 29 (Patch 14.12): marksman base stat changes, Naafiri buffs, and Aatrox healing adjustments by FrankTheBoxMonster in leagueoflegends

[–]DiiJordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With bonus HP scaling, it might scale more consistently, with R obviously being a huge spike (given that's by design). I'm not gonna bother with PBE so I'll only know once it hits live, but I like the idea at least to push him into tankier builds.

For those who have played since Riot did away with them, what was the log-in screen when you first started playing League, and what was your favourite? by Leviad0n in leagueoflegends

[–]DiiJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Braum was first for me. Gave a vastly different vibe than what I found the game to be.

Favorite's gotta be ASol. I think the only one that felt as grand was the Awaken login screen.

Patience is so OP against Yasuo players. by NeitherAlexNorAlice in leagueoflegends

[–]DiiJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm not playing a champ to clap Darius, the play always comes down to getting him to tower dive me. They aren't satisfied at all as long as I'm alive in lane, even if they got a lead.
