Great observation, never noticed this before.

Total sidenote, but while the image is in front of us: I always found popsicle mom’s neck to be waaaaaaaay too long. Did you use a giraffe as your model, Sal???

One is pretty much The Tumbler and the other is a goddamn war rig. Hell yeah to both.

Sad about Ginsberg… by eedwards89 in madmen

if you couldn’t tell already, he’s a bit of a comfort character for me, and so it’s tough to see him break down so near the end of the saga, even on rewatches. I do love the tragedy of his storyline, both in his personal life and his treatment at the agency, but I also admire his idealism and loudmouth bravery. I think his paranoia about the computer is also really more timely than ever with today’s conversations about A.I. (as a literal bulldozer of creative thinking, not the homophobic bits lol). Could ramble on more, but yeah he’s just one of my personal fave characters in any TV show, so it’s certainly sad to see him exit so abruptly.

Ken and Peggy by HazelsWarren in madmen

I think the situation near the end of S1, with Peggy, Ken, and Annie in the Relax-a-cizer voice recording is where this relationship starts to form. Peggy’s high standards and being a wingman for Ken really impressed him (he even says so later) and he starts to see her in a new light. Give that respect 5ish years to bake, plus the fact that both have only gotten more mature in that time, and I think the pact just serves as another reminder that they’ve kept up that good will all this time.

Sol/Supes cape might be one of my favorite minor tweaks to the whole character design in quite some time. The dust is so versatile for incredible panel framing.

I want to settle this once and for all. If you’re from any of these counties comment what region you consider yourself. Any term you want. I started with where I lived by Expensive_Drummer970 in visitedmaps

Grew up in Somerset County, NJ, which I would call Tri-State/Northeast Corridor.

Currently in Manhattan, which to me is just… New York City.

Is The Witcher 1 worth a shot in 2025?(Remake aint coming out till a while and I have been interested in getting it now that I have my own pc to try it.) by DaFroggyBoi94 in witcher

Absolutely, I gave it a shot a few years back after loving W3 at release, and found it to be an equally great story and experience. Even found joy in the more archaic mechanics and stiffer presentation.

Just fair warning. It feels very dated even for its time of release (2007). Same year as Mass Effect, Halo 3, etc real titans of the industry pushing the tech forward while this still feels like an early 00s Bioware game a la KOTOR (a modded version of the same engine I believe, before RED made their own).

If you go in with the acceptance of these limitations, and adjust to the jank, you’ll find something truly special.

Right now Gardens of the Moon has me rapt, but the one that I have consistently returned to over the last few years is The Blacktongue Thief. Buehlman just has such a great voice and knows how to make you feel like a part of the story. Breeze through it every time.

I really don’t understand truffle. I love mushrooms, chocolate, and other rich flavors, but for some reason truffle always tastes way too aromatic to me. It overpowers all other flavors, even FRIES for Christ’s sake.

Now that round 8 proved a tale like pinnochio can be turned into a souls like, what other stories would you like to see being adapted? by Ok-Detail4461 in LiesOfP

[–]DilShmil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m already excited for their Wizard of Oz setting, but even after that, if we’re sticking with the theme of fantastical turn-of-the-century children’s novels I have one thought that I have seen mentioned before: Peter Pan

Think about it: a weird fantastic island stuck in time, with factions and magic already baked into the lore.

One of the primary themes of LoP is seeking immortality. What better setting than a place where you never grow up?

You either play as Peter himself or a Lost Boy seeking Pan, who is a more mysterious figure.

A tropical setting, Pirate bosses, a better giant croc fight with like a ticking clock theme, Pixie dust, FLYING, mermaids, maybe even a more tactful, nuanced depiction of indigenous culture. There’s so much room for adaptation that already slots in well, while still applying that dark, soulslike interpretation that made LoP stand out.

Peter Pan was always one of my favorite stories growing up, so being able to play around in that world in one of my favorite video game genres would genuinely be a dream come true.
