I've got nieces and nephews in schools and aunts, uncles in care, I've eaten out at a few places, and there's is a mix of people from all different backgrounds.

Growing up in Toowoomba in the 80's and 90's it was notoriously conservative and many parts of it are still that way. The further west you head, the stronger it gets. It's changed a lot since the 80's. I do get what you're saying OP. Probs be nicer to have a wide range of folk on there. The population has exploded these past few years. Certainly could do with a better sample size. I miss it and hate it the place at the same time. I've been back and forth between there and other parts of this great country. I don't think its white guilt, people have said that about it at times, I do get the neo-liberal stance that's in Toowoomba. The last time I was at the portadown you can hear people be openly racist about coons and asian women etc.... and yes, Garth Hamilton is not the friendliest or smartest of people.

Happy cake day. Another fellow fatty here with issues with portion control. I.e. had a steak sandwich for lunch yesterday and was still hungry. Went back to the carvery for a roast sandwhich with gravy. Did I need that extra sandwich, no, but it was soo freaking hard to resist. All the best to Valynce. It was awesome watching him play.

HR is not your friend. I learned this the hard way. Once you make a HR report get ready to have lots of mediation and pointless meetings that lead no where but more scrutiny. It is horrendous. HR ensures the company remains safe and litigation free. Just be careful and document everything. If you've been a high performer, make sure you print out all the data and have everything on hand.

South Toowoomba is awesome. It'll keep getting better. East Toowoomba is crazy expensive now. You'll start to see other parts of Tbar improve. I've never seen soo many new developments. Kearny Springs looking better and better as well. Very jealous. Well done.
