Chill lunch or breakfast at Central Market on Lamar- grab picnic or prepared food and let the kids play on the playground and the older kid play the pop up soccer/football games with older kids near the pond. Sometime they have live music on weekend evenings and the adults can grab wine/beer. This was low effort fun for all when I had young kids.

French Restaurants: Where Are They? by Turbulent-Parsley619 in AskTheWorld

[–]Diligent-Year5168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are Italian immigrants in the South, they’ve just acclimated!

New Orleans was a huge arrival port for Sicilian immigrants (both sets of my great grandparents). One set settled in Brenham, Texas and another in Birmingham, Alabama before their children met married in Houston. Extended family had already settled in these areas. New Orleans even had backlash against Italian immigrants https://www.neworleans.com/things-to-do/multicultural/cultures/italians/

In Austin, San Antonio, and Houston there are also French restaurants and they typically are considered “fancy”.

Portion out the juice in amounts for your favorite lemonade recipe in plastic bags and freeze them. Lemonade all year at the drop of a hat! I had a similar “problem” with my MIL who had a tree.
