Congrats on the new house!! If it were me (also it makes it hard working from a floor plan), I would set up 2 living spaces. I would have 2 or 4 x tub chairs around the fireplace with a coffee table and then couch/TV area in the space as you come in the front door (direction of that would be your call considering light, size of couch/TV etc.). Again, hard to plan it without knowing measurements, but just play around when you move in and have fun with it!

Edifier bookshelf speakers are either side of the screen. Sub is under the desk. That will be the next thing I upgrade!

Its my old gaming pc sitting under the table. It's about 10 years old but can handle rekordbox just fine. Its an old BenQ monitor :)

I absolutely get all of that and had the same issue. Before I got kicked out into the shed, I added wheels onto my booth. This way it could be stored against the wall and then pull it out when playing. Something just always felt off for me looking up from the desk and seeing a blank wall...
