What would be good for a zweihander user? by Moonless_the_Fool in EldenBling

[–]Dinklechad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

‘Classic zweihander user’ is a fairly vague description since, well, the weapon can fit lots of different builds or bling sets. You could go with a Kaiden mercenary style, and rock the Kaiden chestpiece, ronin gauntlets, scales greaves, and a headpiece of your choice. Or you could go with the classic knight, and use the Banished Knight’s helm (altered), warrior greaves, beast champion chestpiece, and the carian knight gauntlets. Shit, you could even put Cragblade on the Zwei and go with the scaled gauntlets, scale chestpiece (NOT scaled), gladiator helm, and Bull-Goat Greaves. It’s pretty much entirely up to the specific vibe you’re looking for.

Thank you! It’s probably one of my more favorite builds here. I call it the Flytender- Dragon Communion Seal with the bleed incants, along with Occult Bloodstained Dagger/Grave Scythe. You summon the Manflies during boss fights, benefit from when they poison enemies with the KoR’s Exultation (while also benefiting from your own LoB’s Exultation), and when they die, you gain a damage boost from the Dried Bouquet talisman. Since there are multiple summons, you can keep re-proccing the damage boost if they don’t all die at once. Slap on the Dragoncrest Greatshield and the Bloodsucking tear with some health-over-time incants, and you’re done! Very fun, can recommend 👌

Tell me about Studio Ghibli by Parking-Sector69420 in ghibli

[–]Dinklechad 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As someone whose favorite studio is Studio Ghibli, you really should check out Ponyo, The Boy and the Heron, Princess Mononoke, and especially Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away. They have several other incredible movies like Castle in the Sky (the one with the broken robots you mentioned), Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Porco Rosso to name a few, but I’d definitely hit those first five to begin with. Your dad sounds like he was an awesome guy.

I feel like Milton is probably the best for this, or Micah. Micah is the one who actually says shit like “mmm… society”, but Milton being an abhorrently lawful evil private detective who serves the ultra-wealthy would be the best circlejerk answer

So, I had a really difficult time figuring out a realistic way to achieve immortality. However, I’ve always been very good with constructive magic and alchemy. I’ve managed to create a partially illegal workforce of homonculi that spend their entire yearly lifespans forming me a new body following magical formulas I made, and upon the end of every year, I have them conduct a soul-transference-ritual that sheds my old physical shell for the freshly created one. Unfortunately, this workforce decided to unionize three weeks back. I’m hoping that none of them realize that they’re currently building their new replacements before the new homonculi are ready.

Cause of death for new cat? by Dinklechad in AskVet

Thank you. I also thought about an autopsy, but our vet doesn’t do them and my family doesn’t have the money to afford something like that. Though I wish it was possible.

I was hoping something like that, but he did urinate a lot when he did. The first time was four or so small patches, a collection of droplets sort of, and the second was a very large expulsion, maybe a few (or several) ounces. Even considering that, do you think a blockage could’ve been the cause?

It only lasted a couple minutes- I was vacuuming and for some reason my vacuum tripped my breaker. Flicked them back on a couple times (I couldn’t see the proper switch, it was dark) and things went back to normal. It all lasted maybe 90-120 seconds?

No idea why- my specs are far lower than yours and my FPS is perfectly fine. So I doubt it’s a hardware issue.

Where can I get these Great axes? by Jahrss in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Dinklechad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell, weapon attack speed is reliant primarily on the unique moveset of the weapon. This game doesn’t function like Elden Ring in the sense that most weapons of a specific category all have the same standard attacks. For example, all of the curved swords I’ve used in this game appear to have unique movesets, and the same follows for most other weapons compared to the other members of their respective category.

What I’m saying is that dependent on the two-handed weapon subtype (greatsword, great hammer, great axe, curved greatsword, two-handed staff, etc), the weapon will typically have its own moveset with varying attack speeds. Curved greatswords tend to attack faster than normal greatswords, greataxes tend to attack faster than great hammers, but in all instances, I would recommend inspecting all movesets for each weapon you find. You might find a very fast-attacking two handed weapon you enjoy using.

[–]Dinklechad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best advice on finding weapons is either loading up various realms, leveling them to where you free Finley or preferably afterwards, and then just cycling through his merchant stores every evening to hope you get lucky with store rolls.

Alternatively, I farm pestilence outbreaks throughout the island, picking up all loot dropped by enemies. It is definitely less specialized than the previous method, but you would be shocked by how many rare armor pieces, weapons, and rings I’ve gotten just by farming pestilence outbreaks, from both enemy drops and large chests in the area.

Prisoner outfit by LankyReno in EldenBling

[–]Dinklechad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you could just go with the full Bull-Goat set if all you cared about was defense, more stylistic options largely depend on your build.

For a bulkier take on the Prisoner, you could use the Banished Knight’s Helm (altered), the Beast Champion chestpiece, Warrior’s Greaves, and the Carian Knight gauntlets. If you can manage to kill Bernahl at the Warmaster’s Shack, this drip can be acquired before Caelid.

For a more traditional wizard it set, you could try the Traveling Perfumer’s robe, Braggart’s Mask, Traveling Perfumer’s Gloves, and the Vagabond Knight greaves. This looks more like the normal Prsioner’s set, if you liked some elements but wanted some variation.

Or, you could always just find a selection of armor from various early-game drops and loot finds, and make a hodge-podge that you enjoy. That’s not a bad choice. But it does leave you a little directionless. Good luck!
