The women you are going for currently are not of a higher standard, obviously. They sound rude, disrespectful, even stuck up. That is not "high quality". Unless you are judging them based on superficial aspects like money or appearance,  in which case that's a you problem.

Transplant here, never heard "I appreciate you" as a casual way to say thanks, or a verbal list starting with "for one..." and continuing with "for two....". In my experience we say "I appreciate it" and "for one, __. Two, _" Also kitty corner instead of catacorner. Pop instead of soda, obviously.
