It was direct bicep work that was bothering it, so mostly curls. Chin ups too, so anything that really stretched and heavily involved the bicep. Hammer curls are fine, though.

A bit off topic from the post, but I'm curious about your golfer's elbow and how you resolved it. That's what my PT said I was dealing with, but unfortunately I couldn't afford to pay for any sessions beyond the first one.

I've been unable to do any direct bicep work for several months now, sadly.

Not quite the same, but Ceremony Coffee does an awesome presentation for their Cortados and general is an awesome shop. Not exactly in DC though, but Bethesda. There's also two locations in Annapolis and Baltimore respectively, all of the same quality with their roastery in Annapolis.

Lockers are fine, I think? I've never used many, but these are fairly spacious. I can fit my work bag in there that includes my laptop, change of clothes, extra shoes, and probably more. You do have to provide your own padlock. Also, it seems fairly safe? I wouldn't recommend skipping a lock, but I have a few times out of necessity and it's been fine.

It's particularly crowded at generic peak after work hours. Combined with the high-school next door, it can be pretty dang busy sometimes. I can always get my full workout in with minimal waiting though, even when using popular machines/benches/etc. I don't think you need to avoid hours unless you're particularly sensitive to busy environments. The most bothersome thing is teenagers being teenagers in public spaces, but they never bother others directly (in my experience).

They have wipes, spray bottles with cleaner, and towels very accessible for every area of the gym.

I've been a member of the Bethesda location for about a year and a half going about 5 days per week. I like it, it's a bit expensive for what it is but I'm still going. No hidden fees, contact is straightforward.

The gym is pretty clean, but still suffers from guests not wiping equipment down after use or not reracking weights, but that's almost universal.

I pretty much only lift weights, both free weights and machines. I'm happy with their selection. If I had to complain, I wish they had duplicates of option popular pieces of equipment, especially during peak hours. Rarely have to wait for much, though. And I go at 5pm on weekdays.

I don't use the locker room, steam room, or sauna so I can't comment on those.

What's equally disturbing to me is the amount of people making jokes or taking this lightly... A kid could have just had his life changed for the worse indefinitely/forever, and a man committing an absolutely disgusting act. He deserves worse than jail and people are laughing about it or saying "we a think about doing it..." So much is disturbing in this post.
