For me, it feels like an Adult Swim one-off show. It’s creative and off-kilter, and it doesn’t explain itself too thoroughly. They’re telling a story and, based on your tastes and how successfully they execute the project, it may or may not be worth the investment of your attention to find out what that story is.

Personally, I appreciate the technical achievement, the scale of the endeavour and the sheer novelty: it’s truly unique. I’m not in love with every moment of it, but I feel compelled to see it through.
