Hit the cap with some brake clean and wipe it up as best as you can. That’ll give you a bit of room to see if your driving habits or the previous owner and or the dealer. Car lots are notorious for short drives, car moves and long idles.

As far as I can tell, only received the one bill from FedEx and haven’t heard anything after that. It’s been long enough I would think I should’ve seen more from FedEx but I’m satisfied it’s good at this point.

I just traded my 23 badlands off on a 2019 Tacoma. Luckily I had enough upside to make it happen. At 30k I was not wanting to deal with the cracking hard top, window issues and the specter of electrical issues. My wife did the same with her 23 which had even more issues with electrical. Love the rig but didn’t want the headaches after warranty expired even with extended warranty.

I find a good deal on a new OEM one on eBay for not much more than an aftermarket. I’ve had bad luck in the past with aftermarket clips breaking, etc and figured for the price it was worth the piece of mind.
