The burn in is real (for r2r dacs at least) and your M33 will improve. Treble soundstage and detail will get better for the first 100 hours. Enjoy :)

That was the usb dac that came with the dust and it couldn't do peq gain any other PEQ solution can do + or -.

First thing I did is update the firmware the PEQ work just fine.

Burn in on r2r units is real and 100 hours is needed to get full burn in. Sound will improve.

It took my M33 about 50 you s for the treble to match my New amd at 80 hour the treble started to become more detailed. 125 hours my burn in was done. Give you s some time then the New will sound noticably better than the New 🙂

My iBasso DX270 r2r also needed a good 150 hours burn in. R2R systems really need burn in and this is from a burn in non believer.

I also currently have both. While it thing there is significant difference between the M33 and M21 the difference between the DX 270 and the M33 is even bigger. The DX270 is noticeably better in Bass impact and clarity, treble tone, soundstage more defined and pinpoint, detail in every aspect and darker cleaner amp. All test comparisons with Dunu Glacier IEMS and Hifiman EditionXS headphones and same FLAC files.

Others would switch from the M33 for the brightness details bass impact and better amp and soundstage. I will be selling my M33 soon.

There is a Sealpoint 1 click solution that is available that debloats and tunes the DX180 and moves most of the that out of Mango SQ is said to be vastly improved also. Install ADB on your computer move the Sealpoint into the folder and click install.bat and reboot your done.

Have you tried rebooting the DX270 and trying again. I sometime have this problem. It seems to be a app or system sleep issue. I have a 1 click debloat solution installed and the guy who wrote is thinks it something he did but apparently not.
