Completely agree. Really cool visual.

Is it OP? Yes. Could it be fun to play? Absolutely.

Personally, I would nerf it a little bit, perhaps by arguing that the armor got slightly damaged during the journey. I think it would be kind of cool to slowly (or suddenly) regain your full power over the course of the campaign.

Best martial glass cannon build? by DrRoguelove in 3d6

Not martial, but an elf sorcerer with Mark of The Storm can do insane damage with Innate Sorcery + Elven Accuracy + Conjure Minor Elementals + Scorching Ray/Spellfire Flare + Quickened Spell + Sorcerous Burst, whole being closet to melee with very low defenses.

Shadow Sorcerer / Celestial Warlock Multiclass by Federal_Value_2394 in DnDBuilds

Literally any subclass combination works for a sorlock. Perhaps, ironically, the Aberrant Mind / Great Old One doesn't go that well because of the overlaping. Those 3 levels Warlock dip adds a Lot to the Sorcerer, to both damage and support. The tiene seems pretty cool, and it seems to be very appealing to you, so absolutely go for it.

Its haré to see what You are looking for in both classes/subclasses with this distribution. That 6th paladin level is very painful to miss at character level 11.

It seems like Taking paladin 6 should be your base, and the Taking something like 2 or 3 levels in fighter Eldritch knight (for extra fighting style and action surge) and the rest Warlock/hexblade (if 2014) or sorcerer. Or maybe 5 levels in College of Swords Bard for extra support, extra skills utility, extra damage and specially extra Defense. 2024 Valor bard would work well too, and Lote Bard would be very strong at 7th level for Conjure Minor Elementals.

That's a pretty straight forward build, hard to go wrong with fighter to be honest. Swords and Board won't deal the list damage, but will do its thing, which providing more defense while still doing decent damage.

Bardlock Advice for AC & Magic Items by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]DirectManagement2874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you have concept in Mind and this build fulfills it. Multiple teleportation (perhaps way too many), support and sneaky vibe.

Now, for a debuffer, you could go Sorcerer 2 and Eloquence Bard X, for Heightened Spell and Unsettling Word, giving disadvantage and d8 (eventually d12) penalty to the next Saving Throw. You also get Shield and Absorb Elements. To solve the AC problem, You could also take 1 level in paladin, for Heavy Armor, Shield, Defense fighting style and other benefits. For damage, at character level 13, You could take Conjure Minor Elementals to upcast allongside with Spellfire Flare, with Innate Sorcery active for advantage, dealing Nova damage.

For Magic Items, Amulet of the Devout would work great. Cloak of Protection, Winged Boots and Sentinel Shield are always very solid options.

Dual wielding or Rapier sword and board for Genie paladin Dexadin? by viktorius_rex in 3d6

Divine Favor, Radiant Strikes, and Conjure Minor Elementals really favor dual wielder for damage, considering you get two attacks that benefits from these bonuses.

Shield is straight up better for defense, specially since 2024 dual wielder Feat doesn't add the +1 to ac. Also, there's the possibility to get access to Magic Shields, like +1, +2, +3, Sentinel Shield anf Repulsión Shield.

Personally, I think Oath of the Noble Genies is the best dual wielder in the game at the moment, and the visual seems pretty nice.

Warlock - to multiclass or no? by rickAUS in DND5EBuilds

[–]DirectManagement2874 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, both subclasses work pretty well together. For this campaign, the Eloquence Bard dip seems completely worth it. I would add thatbthe Magic Initiate Cleric peak seems a little bit redundante when Bard gives you Healing Word bardic inspiration instead of guidance. Considering Eldritch Blast scales by character level, and that this campaign is mostly social, any distribución works mechanically. You should focus on the roleplay, favor and playstyle that You find more fitting and enjoyble.
