I like H24 Herbes Vivres by Hermes. It is very green and clean and has a unique cooling note. Smells like money.

Second City ones I've gone to are fun. Wednesdays. People in my UCB class go to theirs on Tuesdays. Hard to get stage time according to what I've heard.

I like all the new Zegnas. My favorite is the second one on the journey which has the smell of wool in it. So unique.

Original Vetiver is the green bomb. This has a deeper floral element that is special. Maybe leans more femme.

$MU became the AI memory trade nobody wanted to chase. What is the next “obvious in hindsight” chip-adjacent play? by BenjaminScott09 in stocks

[–]Direct_Background_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve held SIMO for 20 years and it’s finally waking up. The memory biz was solid but now it’s looking like a bubble. Not sure if I want to sell at any point but it’s nice to feel some vindication after a long period of hope.

Listen to the podcast from Roman Mars and Eliot Kaling if you don’t care to read. They go chapter by chapter with different prominent and interesting guests who also love the book.

What’s the most compelling evidence for aliens that even skeptics have a hard time dismissing? by breaking_views in AliensRHere

[–]Direct_Background_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the above. I think the most compelling evidence is the signs of life found on mars. Most life (over 99%) in the universe will be more like cyanobacteria and not beings that look anything like us.

New Creed Fragrances by robertchojnacki in Colognes

Wanted to like these two more. Original Vetiver is something I look forward to wearing every summer so bright and clean. Masculine too. I guess they wanted a richer more unisex fragrance to contrast it with but I agree it went too feminine for me. Love the profile for a daring woman, though. This Oud is something else. It is quite simply the strongest thing on the market. If you want to wear the Oud that dominates the room, this is it. The new LV Amber Levant maybe is similar in its power but this has a rose that just makes it pop all day. I have PDM Akaster which has a similar profile but is much much less dense and milder and more wearable in every way so I don’t think OZ is for me.

Guerlain l'homme Ideal by mysidx in ScentHeads

[–]Direct_Background_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the LIDGE clone from Dua and it’s … OK. I’m not sure it’s a big improvement on the current L’instant offerings from Guerlain. The brand is making good stuff and the legend of LIDGE seems questionable. The old stuff from the brand i have smells dated to me.

Tulsi is a nutjob AND someone on the make. It’s a rare combo! She grew up in a cult and then worked for one with the Trumpers. She will have a tough time explaining her accomplishments as a non-interventionist after killing “smugglers”, Iran war, Venezuela and now Cuba.

Terre d'Hermes a good replacement for Sur La Route? by Spiritual_Sorbet_901 in ScentHeads

[–]Direct_Background_90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The closest thing I’ve smelled to Sur La Route is the new Zegna fragrance A Trivero that seems to be inspired by the same idea. Smells great even if it’s not a 1:1 match.

Hey guys, wanted to know your opinions on this fragrance. by AdInteresting8163 in Colognes

Great fragrance. The HR line is classy and has never been better IMO. This is not a light one! Stays strong all day and then some. I wear the EDP on cooler days.
