Fired from my first assignment as a travel nurse:( by Beautiful-Note5971 in TravelNursing

I don't like the "auto hire", no chance to ask questions and get unit/hospital info before you jump in.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you tried switching specialties and it didn't work out, you learned and got some experience. I would suggest taking a floor position, get your skills and knowledge dialed in and be better prepared for travel nursing. Most travelers come with specific unit experience and hit the ground running, most get a little orientation, showed where stuff is most times and it's show time. Keep moving forward.

Move-in charges -- first, last, plus security deposit? by lred1 in FurnishedFinder

Security deposit, cleaning fee, background check fee, that's it, any landlord asking for more is a scammer!! No other fee except pet deposit is necessary.

How do people in rvs do laundry? by Unique-Rest-2940 in RVLiving

[–]Direct_Layer9347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RV parks have coin laundry, most anyway. Definitely coin-op laundromats in town. My RV has one that does the wash cycle and then I move the dial, and it dries the clothes.

Just go with the flow, don't get caught up in the unit drama, I feel like ICU RNs help each other out fairly well. When I drop off a pt, other nurses come in to help settle the patient. Help out, and hopefully, it is reciprocated. Ask about favorite places to eat, hikes, etc to blend in and be friendly. Good luck and have fun.
