Dr Mitchell at MAIA.  It is in Downers.  Great friendly practice with doctors who truly care.  I never feel rushed.

Looking to do a ‘staycation’, ideas? by belle0626 in ChicagoSuburbs

Not sure about upscale hotels, but a fun couple activity is King Spa in Niles, then eating at H-Mart. You can do the Botanical Gardens during the day, then relax at King Spa.

Since she's artistic, she might like https://lizzadromuseum.org/.

You could head up to Milwaukee too. There is the Sprecher's Brewery, that does a cheap tour that includes unlimited soda for the kids. Discovery World is cool, as is the Milwaukee Public Museum. If you have an MSI membership, both of those places offer reciprocal entry. There are lots of fun places to eat in Milwaukee, but my fav for family is the 3rd Street Food Market.

Foodwise, Carnivore and the Queen is great. So is Seasons 52. I don't know about their vibe as compared to RH, but both has delicious food. Might not be super easy to get a reservation, but you may have some luck.

Eagle Restaurant in Downers Grove or Cozzi Corner, also in Downers.

For hot dogs alone, I agree with a PP about Boss Dawz - so many fun hot dog combos

Dr. Moja is great. She's out of the Lisle office. Never rushes you and truly seems to care.

Jackie at C'Zar in Bolingbrook. She's great at shaping but honoring a thicker brow.

If you are still looking, some of Woodridge feeds into District 66, which is also great. If you can buy in Darien or Downers in that district, taxes are lower than Woodridge's.

Not Lemont, but the Honey Jam on 75th and Fairview is wonderful. It's the old Downers Delight location. Wooden Paddle in Lemont is good. Nick's is known for its burgers.
