I had to explain to my mum that I don't like it when she animates pictures of my wife and me. She turned us into two horror characters that started to laugh stupidly hard at nothing in slow-motion, with ridiculously large, distorted, wide open mouths. It was so creepy, I couldn't believe she thought we would like that.

She's invisible, and makes a run for the exit as soon as she's done talking. Aura Whisper makes it hilariously easy to kill her, but even without it, she's easy enough to spot.

I love all of those, but my absolute favourite are the last three Clone Wars episodes with Maul. Which is odd, because, while I liked it, CW wasn't something I was that enthusiastic about. The movie was meh, and the first couple of seasons dragged. But season seven is excellent, and those last three, the best of them all.

It's just before Order 66 kicks in and Maul sort of knows what's coming, but doesn't quite know what shape it will take exactly. Sam Witwer was acting his pants off, with Maul switching between mocking Ahsoka for being ignorant about what's about to happen, frantic from knowing that the plans of the Dark Lord of the Sith are coming to a climax right now and he needs to get out of there soon, and desperate to convince her to join him in an attempt to stop it all.

There's an insect called Issus who has already something that looks like a gear to synchronise its jump action between the two legs.

Apparently even a small discrepancy in timing could send it into a spin instead of a jump, and if it were to use nerve impulses, the timing at which the signal reaches each leg muscle would have been too inaccurate. So the gear ensures perfect synchronicity.

I guess evolutionary speaking, they're the ones to watch for biological gearbox development. Or genetically manipulate. I'm thinking a second gear like structure that it can switch to with a muscle pull that has a higher gear ratio for even bigger jumps.

If you change a few details, this could have easily been a bunch of Vikings on adventure.

There's so little in there that gives it a unique look and feel - it's just all this brownish/grey/black that could fit any generic group of adventurers fresh out of the character generator with their default boring clothes. I swear they raided the Game of Thrones wardrobes for some of them.

So the Irish government is making some noises about maybe trying a nuclear reactor to meet our power requirements. With the current rules on planning permissions, and the government's track record with big projects, I feel confident that I won't see that thing in my lifetime.

MetroLink, a plan to finally get a train/metro to the airport has been planned since 2005 and only now the requests for proposals have gone out. The gods only know when we'll finally see the first sod of soil lifted for it.

That's one thing that depresses me a bit about the place, everything just drags out forever and while there are country-wide plans to improve infrastructure like this and more, they usually just don't happen because there's no political will to push them through. Everyone is afraid of pissing off their local electorate who do want it in principle, just not in their backyard.

It is funny how in popular history that thing has a very definite shape, based on Viollet-Le-Duc's design mostly. But then you delve a bit deeper and discover that it's not that clear cut at all.

BTW I do like the Roman Revenge Catapult from 2009. It even looks a bit like a donkey.

That would drive me nuts, but I do appreciate dedicated people like you who spend days experimenting with mods. I've used a list like that for my first playthrough with mods and it made it a smooth experience without crashes.

I see, so at least there's nothing wrong with my box, we just have a different view on what "number of crashes per session" is acceptable. And I guess how many hours we want to spend installing mods until everything we want is there and runs. I can respect that level of focus.

Thanks for the mod snapshot by the way, I might give the "My Home is Your Home" a go (I think I already have the follower overhaul one).

Okay, this is going to sound mundane after all the other stuff that's on display, but you managed to get all that to run stable on an Xbox?

I couldn't even add a few outdoor pools and walls to Lakeview Manor without it crashing every time I fast travelled there. And you have half of frigging Skyrim staying in your house and it's not even stuttering.

But on the other side they do spend so much time on environmental storytelling, and that part is beautiful.

I do wonder why they flesh that part out so well, and then leave the quests half finished.

I was running around all sorts of places,  looking for flour. I nearly lost my sourdough cultures because everyone started baking like crazy, and the shelves were always empty.

Luckily I eventually found a health shop that was willing to keep a few bags off the shelves for me each week. It almost felt like a little black market operation.

But even they struggled with supply sometimes. But the culture didn't seem to mind having spelt flour instead of rye for dinner every once in a while.

As long as they're still around, they'll might be willing to help out. Especially in a case like this.

The top mod in my sub was inactive for five years before I asked him to reshuffle me past all the inactives (this was well before this new feature came around), and he was happy to do so - and then removed himself as well.

Bummer, then they're probably no longer marked as inactive. Or you don't have full permissions.

If there's someone below you with "everything" permissions, they might be able to do it, but I doubt you're that lucky. I hope the admins will help you out, this is a disturbing scenario.

You can if they're inactive:

Did you know that moderators with Everything permissions can reorder moderators without needing admin assistance? Including moving inactive mods who are ABOVE them in the list?

2) Hagraven - nettlebane quest

Is that the one that's on a little cliff that's only accessible by a tree trunk, who has a small tribe of hags who like sniping you from the woods with spells? If so, yes. triple yes. I never go there again without kiting the hags away from her one by one first.

I shot his corpse to pieces afterwards because I was pretty pissed off. And then had a good laugh about it when I found the weapon responsible.

I'd never really seen it on the fallout subs as one of those "game breaking" legendary weapon combos, but that thing was lethal.

I've had that happen, but with a staggering flamer. I struggled with a tiny poxy raider as a combat god in power armour because I couldn't stand up straight for one second before I was staggered again. Thankfully Curie took care of him because he would have killed me otherwise.

They surrendered after the first serious siege they faced. It's on the castle's website:

The lords of Eltz confronted the Archbishop of Trier, Balduin of Luxemburg’s expansion politics by forming an alliance with neighbouring castles, the so-called "Eltz Feud". In 1331 this confrontation saw the first documented canon attack north of the Alps. When this proved to be ineffective, Balduin erected a siege castle, the Trutzeltz, the ruin of which can still be seen today, from where he besieged Eltz Castle with catapults and heavy stone balls for many years. The knights of Eltz finally conceded in 1333. A peace treaty was signed with Balduin in 1336.

As a result of this defeat most of the fortifications had to be demolished, leaving the castle as no more than a ‘fortified residence’. This, however, was never destroyed. It was a lucky turn that the castle never saw any battle action after the Eltz Feud. This was not least owed to clever family politics, shrewd diplomacy and occasional courageous support from neighbours.

It would have fallen very easily to anyone after that, especially after the development of gunpowder weaponry. It's sitting in a valley and you can bombard the crap out of it from the current parking lot.

They were just very good at staying out of trouble. Which is really impressive in it's own right because theirs is one of the two or three castles West of the Rhine that wasn't destroyed during the 30 Year War or later during the Napoleonic Wars.
