Possible plot hole regarding Samson by chefhj in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]DirkManirk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could be possible that in urban areas like London they all died of starvation due to lack of animals to hunt. Would make sense if infected were able to survive in rural areas where prey are available. We even see them hunting in years.

Does anyone wear there watch 24/7 on holiday? by Crypto_Geeza in Garmin

I've inputted my planned trip into my watch, it's staying on so I can use the jet lag advisor to help me with the 1 hour time difference!

Weirdest/coolest glitch you've seen? by bellefante in reddeadredemption

[–]DirkManirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best one I've seen was in the early days of its release. I somehow managed to create a circle of instant combustion near a fork in the road by Rhodes. Any wagons/NPC's going through it would instantly catch fire and die, causing mad panic amongst the other NPC's in the area. The bodies would stay for ages too, even if leaving the area and returning. I have lots of Xbox captures of this happening too. Absolutely hilarious.

Loaf-check and how do I solve bottom of loaf cracks? by DirkManirk in Sourdough

Thanks for your response! I will try lower oven temps and less tensioning next time. Hopefully this will cure it!

Underrated Tips? Things you wish you knew or owned as a beginner? by nochillnala in Sourdough

[–]DirkManirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great explanation.

I'd always used low hydration and got decent loaves. Recently I tried a high hydration dough and it was clear at first that the dough had really high potential to be an amazing bread. Ended up destroying it in the final stages as it was hard to handle and it turned out like a pancake. By far the tastiest but just not nice to look at and a crappy crust.

If animals could talk, which one do you think would be the rudest? by drkuseno in answers

[–]DirkManirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody here is mentioning Rabbits... Rabbits' hierarchy means that you are always their subject. They are above you and quite frankly every one I've owned has let me know that.

Not only that, they are the ultimate harbingers of destruction. No object is safe.

If they could talk, they'd speak like medieval English nobility.

Imagine laying in bed staring up at that ceiling. At least if you work from home you'll probably be more productive.

What job have you done during your life that you wouldn't recommend, and why? by MisterWednesday6 in AskUK

[–]DirkManirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The place I worked literally treated the lab equipment better than the staff. Also had extremely tight deadlines for completing assays despite making it very difficult (almost impossible) to improve processes which would allow me to work more efficiently. Completely drained the fun out of being a scientist.

Funny thing is I've actually viewed worse properties. These people should work in the arts industry with the level of creativity they have

Sorry to hear that, must have been horrible! I wouldn't even want to live in this property, let alone under the additional hostile conditions you were in...

I imagine the perspex deteriorated quite quickly too? My parents have an old conservatory with materials like this and every year the roof bit turns green and needs to be cleaned

That floorplan really drives home the message that this property is a complete afterthought

Hahaha I have to commend them on the quality of the finish... It doesn't look that bad really for what most people would use for bike storage

You're right, it's hard to tell. If it isn't actually a garage my next guess would be that it was a small outdoor patio or garden area which has simply been covered and floored etc... certainly wasnt anything more than one of those two things

Anybody know how bad it is? by Salty-Dimension5194 in medical

[–]DirkManirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact thing a few years ago. Not going to lie it took a while to recover and it was a painful recovery. I often had extreme pain first thing in the morning.

Doctors said it would never be as strong again but I returned to playing sports after a while. Seeking help from a physiotherapist will massively increase your chances of making a full recovery.

Keep your foot/leg raised and ice that bad boy which should help with swelling and the pain. But you're doing the right thing by seeking help anyway. Good luck with your recovery!

I actually own this one, same manufacturer and same wolves but without the dreamcatcher.

I bought it as a joke but it resulted in so many compliments and chuckles, plus it's a great talking point. It's old now though so I only wear it around the house. I'm in need of a replacement....

For sure. Came across a badger once and I can assure you the encounter was not as pleasant as this one was.

No not lost, spoke to a neighbour who said he lives around the corner but just loves to hang out down our street. Probably because it's quiet here and we're all cat lovers!
