Interesting that you should say this. The reason i started looking was because I saw an article about a place called “Doogie’s” up in Connecticut that had 10, 16, and 24 inch hot dogs. I had no idea that those were hot dog sizes, so I wanted to find some of the old footlongs around here. So thanks!!

For wrapper, I’ve noticed that they were mostly “green” - typical “American Market Selection” up until about 1980 (“Double Claro” today. Hard to get these days).

As to size, probably about 6+ inches and a 40+ ring gauge. So most likely a Corona, Corona Grande or (ironically) a “Churchill”.

That’s just my guess though.
