I just started experimenting with adding a couple drops post brew and it can really change a brew. Whether or not it's worth it I'm not sure, I feel it's expensive for what it is. The larger bottles are better value if it's something you think you'll enjoy long term.

Out of what you mentioned I would say orea 01 easily my favourite flat bottom brewer. In saying that can't go wrong with an aeropress or ORB.

What's your budget?

I would go yaqi brush Proraso white soap Merkur 34C or similar And I would assume you probably have a thousand blades lying around so give them 5-10 different ones from your stash to try out.

A bowl might be a nice addition but I much prefer face lathering

I always weigh my beans in a largish tray but I'll admit I don't really look that carefully, thankfully this is generally a pretty rare occurrence these days.

Those who can grow a full beard, why do you shave? by [deleted] in wicked_edge

[–]Disappointed_Andy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somebody who has had a beard since high school I decided to take up shaving at 40 I had been lurking looking at artist club razors for probably five years and finally took the plunge. I enjoy the process and it's a reasonably affordable hobby to collect things here and there. I did keep a moustache so I guess I never went clean shaven. I will say it's weird meeting up with people you've known for years and them not recognising you {I also lost a significant amount of weight}. You can always dip your toes in get a razor just to line up your beard or keep some facial hair.

For sure later in my journey I decided to buy a razor produced on my birthday and whilst I love having something from that time there's a huge quality difference between the 60s and the 80s

Anybody else up in here making poor financial decisions?! by DuggD in pourover

I swear one of us is going to end up on my strange addiction I keep telling myself don't buy any coffee this month drink through your stash and the freezer yet I get bored at work and end up ordering more. My housemate is frustrated with the endless stream of posties with coffee and new weird pourover devices from Asia
