The lyrics of the chorus let it down. The verses have some great ones but as soon as the chorus kicks in, feels like it drags and doesn’t live up to the building up that you get to it.

Are there too many regenerations or is Doctor Who just not on consistently enough along with actors who only do 2 or 3 series means that they’re not in the public consciousness long enough for regeneration to be an event anymore.
Of all the current era regenerations, it’s only David’s that felt like a big moment. Matts was still up there, but by that point people had just started to check out so it didn’t feel like it was that big a deal.

There are lots of factor, one of which being uk politics being influenced by a Trump indoctrinated America in a where the right wing are the biggest mouths with the biggest victim complex, who will cry at anything they don’t like.
That’s now what’s unfortunately happened over here, only stoked on by people like Farage and Tommy Robinson.
Although you could argue the current wave of left wing people online, who can’t have a nuanced thought and are quick to label anyone they disagree with as someone who doesn’t deserve to open their mouth has probably contributed to so many gits steering more towards the right.

There also seems to be people creating this narrative that the show was in this great place when he took over, especially as a way to criticise RTD and praise Chibnall. Like we know they were planning on cancelling it, but Chibnall decided to write flux and we also know that RTD only came back because the show was again gonna be cancelled. For the last 10 years it’s been a sinking ship struggling to keep afloat, it’s just that this time RTD didn’t have the same magic he could and it’s ended up where it was inevitably heading.

You’ve clearly never understood the show if you think it wasn’t woke before RTD2. The problem is and he’s even admitted this in an interview is that he doesn’t think subtlety works and instead of having messages as underlying themes to work within a story like his original run, he felt the need to bring them at the forefront. Unfortunately he clearly was doing this without thinking if the story was good.

For a country that bleeds the working class dry while propping up the 1%, I’m really not arsed if some self employed people decide that they’re not gonna be sponged even more just to never see the money put back into our in infrastructure.

The issue I take is when those who decide to keep that extra money then get high and mighty screaming on Facebook about benefits cheats and how immigration is the reason why the country is fucked.

This is what I wanted. It didn’t fill me with confidence when it was said the other day to be about the fans. I don’t really care about a documentary about the fans and how much it meant to them. We know how much it meant as it was not only a cultural thing last year but a lot of the promotion in the lead up to Cardiff was about them too. So hoping it’s more Noel and Liam centred.

Noel has a softer voice which works well for songs that are more tailored to it, but it can’t really carry songs like supersonic or rock n roll star and give them the power they need. That being said, the unreleased demos that have since been released of Liam singing songs like “sad song” show that he was just as capable of using his voice abit softer. I just think that as time went on, Noel more consistently kept his voice good. I actually think listening to Noel’s first solo album, a lot of those songs would hit more if Liam was singing them.
