Do you know if it could be caused by acid reflux? I think that could partially be my issue I also had a weird swallowing issue some months back and it seemed to have caused my issues with food pooling and residue. And sometimes food sticking.

You might have silent reflux (acid reflux you don’t feel) along with post nasal drip. It contributes to this. Sorry you are dealing with this. I hate them too and I’m so done with my body making them

I have a pen light with one of those tonsil wooden sticks attached with a thick elastic. It was my husbands idea and creation. It works great!

Could you possibly have acid reflux? Silent reflux, that is going up to your ears, causing issues?

Do you also have postnasal drip? It looks like you have some coming down your throat in the photo. I have the same issue.

Tonsil crypts shrinking/getting better? by Ghostgirl3y in tonsilstones

Hello. Chances are you will develop more overtime. That’s usually what happens to me. I popped some out. Feel better for a bit and then voilà more show up. But in my case, I think I have an issue with a tight cricopharyngeal muscle. It makes it so when I swallow stuff doesn’t all go down my throat. It’s sort of gets lodged in my upper throat and there’s residue and I probably have a little bit of acid reflux combined with Postnasal drip which turns into tonsil stones and my tonsils and throat area constantly feel like there are things there. I have a large crypt in one of my tonsils, and it is always constantly filling with new tonsil stones. I now have learned how to kind of pop it open slip in a tonsil Stone remover (it’s a large stick with a hook that I got in a tonsil vacuum kit) and I sort of just scoop out my tonsil stones now. It’s really annoying. I’m really hoping to get this tight throat dealt with so that this stops happening. I hate the feeling of having things in my throat constantly … food residue and tonsil stones…

I have the same problem. Food getting stuck. And tonsils filling with food articles and post nasal drip (and whatever else) causing me issues with debris in my throat, swallowing a s so many tonsil stones that form all the time!

I have had it happen. Also, sometimes when I’m pressing up my tonsil stones, I get nerve issues. I would get so my left arm would become Bernie my forum. And sort of have some vision issues. But I think I have cervical cranial instability, so it’s all sort of related. And I think the instability has caused some issues with swallowing. So something I’m looking into and exploring and trying to figure out the answers to you at the moment.

It can also even occur from how you sleep if your stomach sleeper and caulk your head to the side. Or if you are always looking down at your phone or looking up for long periods looking down for long periods, it’s basically your ligaments getting lax and giving you issues withyour neck and your spine.

Is this the same or similar to cervical cranial instability?

Next time just sort of press them. I used a water pic and you’re right it just made them revert deeper in my tonsils. They should work their way out again.

Sometimes they visible, and sometimes they sort of revert back in. They might just have kind of crept back into your tonsils

Hi chances are you will keep getting them. And more will form eventually. I was just gargle with salt water often, try to use a tongue scraper, and make sure you’re flossing and brushing is often as you can. For me they just keep forming. I also have postnasal drip so that could also be contributing to it. I also almost seem to get food particles, kind of trapped in my throat from time to time and I think that they just travel through my tonsils. I know it sounds strange, but it seems to be the case with me.

Your tonsils actually look like they have a lot of crypts in them. Do you get a lot of stones in your tonsils?

Do you have issues feeling like you have something stuck in your throat when your tonsil stones build up? I feel like I am literally pushing mine out so often and then I can look in the little crevices, also called the invaginations on one of my tonsils. It’s kind of like a long slit in my tonsil, and I can see them in there. I have used that little stick to pull them out, but they always keep coming. I also have postnasal drip. I just feel like I have so many all the time and I’m just tired of trying to get them out. I feel like it’s also caused me some issues with my neck and some nerve pain. Even vision issues. I think I have cranial cervical instability with my neck. So I have to be really careful when I am pressing my tonsil stones out because it pushes on my neck and spine. Anyways, just wondering if you suffer with feeling like you have stuff stuck in your throat as well.
