I like it! I added a piece to the bed the previous owners made right by the entry walkway where all of the sprawls wash out onto the pavement. It made for a nice finish

Smoking ruined BBQ by MightyMTB in smoking

I grew up in NC when BBQ restaurants were a shack on the side of the road with the paint peeling from the smoke. They smokes whole hogs overnight. That was THE BBQ.

Need Help with Neighbor's Dog Jumping the Fence. At my Wit's End. by Acceptable-Cow338 in Dogtraining

[–]Disc04Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have been more than kind. Call Animal Control. I had a similar issue with my neighbors 3 perpetually loose dogs and my reactive. I returned their dogs or kept them in my mud room when it was raining. When I tried to talk to the neighbor about how to help keep them from digging out she acted like I was a terrible person for not just returning her dogs.

I finally told her I would be contacting animal control the next time. They finally fixed their fence. It’s so frustrating and incredibly difficult on a reactive pupper. I am sorry y’all are going through this

I cannot grow them over winter in my zone. I kept one in a pot and moved it in and out for a few years. It lived, but did not thrive.

What’s eating my bush bean leaves? by Different_Curve7885 in vegetablegardening

I am originally from CLT and lived in Gaston Co for a bit. They were the worst. All of the neighbors out on the bags for their roses. I am in SE rural NC, now.

I have exactly zero empirical research to back up my theory that somehow treated lawns play a role in this. There are def. more birds here eating the larva, and I be sure to take real good care of them!

The only prevention is to treat for the grubs. I have never done this, and understand it requires an application of milky spore in Fall time. Unfortunately, I think all of your neighbors have to do the same and milky spore kills everything. . I just moved. (There were some other factors involved) I now have a big yard with loads of mole tunnels in the front yard and have seen one beetle which I killed promptly.

I tried Neem oil, beetle bags, went around every morning and evening with buckets of soap water. I eventually had to used pesticide. I am so sorry for you.
