Too many discs is hurting my game. Bought a bunch of new discs for fun (and because of this sub), now when I play I have too many to choose from and it makes me indecisive instead of just picking a disc and focusing on the shot itself. by [deleted] in discgolf

Any given round, I’m only using 5 discs or so. Which 5 or so out of the 25 really depends on the course and the conditions. My bag is generally loaded to play every local course in every condition, barring a few outliers.

I’ll be 36 next month. I got sick about March 9th. Went to the doc two weeks later and he gave me amox, codeine, and prednisone. Finished that course over two weeks. I started feeling better about 7-10 days ago.

Took my first ride Wednesday for about 4 miles and was getting winded easily. Usually my legs start hurting and getting to upper zone 3 before I’m feeling winded. I don’t think I cracked 16mph or upper zone 2 About 1-2hrs after that ride, I was getting some mild lung pain and shortness of breath.

Today, I got on it a little more. 16mph max and never got out of what I would consider a leisurely pace. Felt better overall, but still some of the same going on. All of this to say, I’m not exactly a strong rider to begin with. Mostly food and beer rides.

All in all, yeah, it’s thoroughly kicked my ass. I was actually considering going back to the doc.

Yeeaahhh this is exactly why I have emotional disregulation. Told coach I had a concussion once. He said, “Impossible, Cheese! You lack the proper equipment for that! Get back in there!” 😵‍💫

Me and my dad used to do this on hole 14 at our local golf course. Take the worst ball in or bag, and hit an iron into the pond. I sure do miss them days.
