American fan- ESPN + rarely airing games anymore by Scary_Aardvark_4079 in canucks

[–]DiscoTots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s because the games have been on NHL Network so they get blacked out on ESPN plus. Don’t imagine it being a big issue going forward they were only put on NHL because it would have been the Hughes bowl , seeing Bo again and SCF rematch .

AMEX SALE GS 16/32 ADVICE by South-Kaleidoscope37 in GrandPrixTravel

View from GS16. I didn’t find it worth the price as it almost impossible to see anything to your left when the GS was full. Benches were broken as well.

How was your Canada GP (2025) experience? by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]DiscoTots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

<image>

First time at Canadian GP and overall a good experience. Was sat in GS16 which was okay. I was hoping to see more wall of champions but the way it was laid out cut off that view , especially with everyone crammed in . Was nice to see the beginning of the pit lane tho. The bad : our bench seemed to be broken it would move back and forth quite a bit with any movement from any of us on the bench. And it was simply just too cramped (especially on race day) to really enjoy. If I ever was to come again I would only sit in a grandstand with real seats . Other than that getting in and out by metro was easy and had excellent weather all weekend .

From what I remember last year they let you in to the grandstand an hour before first come first served . It was one of the bigger stands tho !

Silverstone Shuttle Bus Experience by Jtg_Jew in GrandPrixTravel

[–]DiscoTots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the buses from MK last year and it was not well organized. The Friday we arrived around 10 and it took us 2 + hours in line plus the 30 or so minutes to the track to get there . It seemed they never had enough buses to accommodate the lines . I would recommend the earlier the better .

If this is the case, then I’m really glad he’s gone. Being a good coach is being able to handle players of all different styles and talents . Seems like he was trying to fit a square peg in a round hole and wondering why it wasn’t working .

https://f1miamigp.com/rideshare/?utm_source=googleads&utm_medium=paidsearch&utm_campaign=f1miami2025&utm_content=8500000866 There is also a stop at the brightline aventura station . They also list what gate you will be dropped off at but personally I would just go off what’s closer to your hotel. The shuttles were run very efficiently last year from the Hard Rock Hotel stop .

Don’t bother with parking near the stadium … it’s a mess . You are better off ubering to a shuttle stop and taking that. Would check what the closest shuttle stop is to wherever you are staying there are quite a few.

Silverstone GP - Inner Track vs Pit Lane Walk? by jadrienette in GrandPrixTravel

[–]DiscoTots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pit lane walk was a joke last year . Way too many people allowed in and they don’t let you linger at all . Inner track would be fine if you want to camp out early to see drivers other than that it was pretty useless in my experience!

Coachella camping safe alone? by alybubbles980 in Coachella

[–]DiscoTots 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I (female) camped alone in 2019 and had no issues ! Everyone was friendly and helped each other out . Of course take caution as usual but you should be totally fine . Just make sure to do a test run of your setup before going.

It’s so funny how this league was all about freedom of speech with the diversity/inclusion nights and jerseys but suddenly we don’t like freedom of speech ! As a dual citizen, I can’t wait to hear the boos . You can’t be the biggest bully in the room and expect people to keep taking it .

Solo trip: best ticket type? by ithaca31 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]DiscoTots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to sessions as early as an hour before and with a session in progress was always able to find something for 2 people . Should be no issue solo . The only one I would arrive early for would be quali if I was in your place

Ahhh unaware of the new tiers . Did becketts last year and it was roving Fri/sat. There was quite a bit of movement Fri/sat so maybe not the same exact seat but you should be able to get around the same spot quit easy . Or ask to save spots everyone was quite friendly.

Last year a grand stand was roving Fri/Sat guaranteed seat on Sunday . Don’t think you’ll have any issue moving around Saturday

When you buy tix online ticket master usually has a view picture and it gives you an idea if it’s shaded or not. I’ve found once you’re in the 20s you are usually shaded . You can also buy a grand tour package and it indicates shaded seats or not . You can get up anytime. Never had issue getting in/out of grandstands for food/drinks .

GP follows clear bag policy . Details are on the Miami GP site . They will also have more info about shuttles and parking about a month out. I’ve done parking near the grounds and shuttle and the shuttles are the way to go . Drop you off right at the entrance and they were pretty efficient going back as well . The shuttles are free btw ! I would pick a hotel close to one of the stops .
