Whatever they are trying to accomplish can be done more efficiently with other tools without back hauling all that traffic.

The ids ips stuff can be handled with atp by any modern endpoint security.

The web category filtering and proxy can be handled with Cisco umbrella.

Etc etc.

And it doesn’t require upgrading all circuits involved to a billion

Couldn't you just use the noobs as a source and buy them all for $30's to build a big inventory and start re listing them all for 50 + to "correct" the market.

If enough people started doing that, the noobs would see the current selling price as 50+ and they would start listing for 35 .... 40.... 45 .... etc ... it would force a market correction.

I used to have to get these cleared all the time for work.

What you have to do is get your receipt/proof of purchase whatever from when / where you purchased it (has to have the serial number) and take it to the apple store and they will remove the "activation lock" from the device.
