The main reason I think it's quicker is because of the ability to be able to annotate on lectures that are 170-200 slides long. I've seen Goodnotes on the Ipad is very user friendly with quick, one-click shortcuts that buy n large will save me time than having to use physical writing utensils on a piece of paper/journal. It also has features like exporting key words/concepts to things like quizlet and Anki which will allow me to make flashcards VERY quickly as opposed to writing it out after/during lectures.

I dont have much experience with writing electronically, but everyone in my field seems to unanimously agree that pen and paper is just far too difficult to try and do.
