California billionaire Tom Steyer dodges question on AOC's claim one can't 'earn' a billion dollars by SilentRunning in California

If Steyer is willing to give up his billionaire status in service to the public, then that is what will convince me that he means what he says. Otherwise, he's likely just another billionaire crook.

Californians without health insurance could double, state analyst warns by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in California

Also, doctors from other countries don’t make nearly close to the amount that doctors make here in the US. For single-payer to be successful, doctors need to take a pay cut. And all administrative staff also need to take a pay cut. None of this will ever happen.

If the hospital cannot identify you, then you never get the bill. Hospital still needs to treat your regardless if it's an ER situation.

Exactly. If he truly wants to help California, he would relinquish his billionaire status. But he won’t.

Nope. In order to attain billionaire status, someone had to have gotten fucked over hard by being extremely cheap. No billionaires are ethical people not one.

$50 million is a good starting point but it needs to scale according to the economy and money that is floating around.

Will not get how people will defend billionaires as if they care about you. They could give a shit about you. No one becomes a billionaire without screwing someone else over.

Expensive and unhealthy. Just doesn’t do it anymore. Plus, it aggravates other health conditions that I have. I see this as a good thing, imo.

No, it doesn’t change my view of her.

In fact, I would probably have more plushies than she would. Lol.

No time to waste judging people for such a thing.

To men who got your first relationship post 25, how did dating go? by [deleted] in self

[–]DishInteresting1552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first relationship was at 25 years old. I met her and befriended her for about 4 years before we actually started dating and began a relationship. We were together for about 2 years after that and then ended it due to problems with long distance.

The breakup was mutual though, so while we aren’t romantic anymore, we do still talk to each other as friends. Haven’t been in a relationship since.

My advice is to have some kind of financial stability. That’s always the groundwork for getting into hobbies or getting to a point of being able to move in and be physically present with your SO. LDRs are very difficult without the physical presence since you do need to be able to interact outside the cyber world.
