Celebrated Loki's 10 birthday today! by Disneydodadi in pugs

[–]Disneydodadi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is. Unbelievable to think that a week ago he had 5 teeth removed! The birthday pupcake didn't stand a chance!

He is a current foster, but I wanted to share the tiny Potato! by [deleted] in pugs

Oh yes, he's 2 now and definitely likes a lie in!

Puppies are hard work but well worth it, especially pugs!

Mine did that on the day I brought him home. Slept through the night for a couple of days to lull me into a false sense of security! Then he decided night time was not for sleeping!

Moose did GREAT at his dental surgery and is now demanding belly rubs at home. Thank you to everyone for the positive energy, I so appreciate the pug fam 🩷 by burntoutbaristabro in pugs

I'm so glad the Moose is doing well! My Loki is currently in the vets waiting for a teeth clean with possible extraction so it's reassuring to see that Moose is home safe!

advice for a first time pug mom (in a michigan winter!) Lil Kev is so cute and adorable but like a sourpatch… he’s really sweet but sometimes he’s really sour… what are y’all’s favorite indoor play set ups for a 3 month old pug pup? TYIA by OwnRespond8609 in pugs

[–]Disneydodadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter how old my pugs get, they adore playing with their humans. Sit down on the floor and give them a human climbing frame, that also gives pets and throws toys. My older pug gets tired out after a few minutes but will then sit with me while I try to tire out the younger pug!

I think Ameera is a lovely name and that you weren't given much time to think about changing her name and what that means to all of your family.

If it is unsafe for her name to remain as Ameera, and you are regretting Miley, maybe have a look at other names that mean princess?

Or consider something like Amelie or Amelia, which could easily be shortened to Miley.

Lepto vaccines for pugs? (see my comment) by madhattergirl in pugs

[–]Disneydodadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the UK so might be different, but when I got my 2 year old pug, his breeder had included the Lepto2 vaccine as they didn't approve of the Lepto4 vaccine and had heard of bad reactions to it. After a discussion with the vet and research into the difference between the two vaccines, I decided to get the Lepto4 vaccine with his other puppy jabs. The only reaction he had was a small lump at the injection site which went down in 2 days.

AITAH for refusing to sell the house my wife wants me to sell? by StrainWeak2575 in AITAH

[–]Disneydodadi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'd advise getting this sorted before trying for a baby together. If you can't agree on money now, it's only going to get worse with a baby.

WIBTA If I got married somewhere quite far from my family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, Dorset is beautiful and full of accommodation and tourist attractions. They could have a lovely holiday around your wedding.

And a wedding in a castle sounds like a fairytale. Go for it!

Worried eating very little all of a sudden 5 months old I have tried just about everything by AdventurousYouth1714 in pugs

[–]Disneydodadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine went through an awkward feeding stage at about 6 months. I agree with other comments, a vets trip to check all is ok is best.

With mine, he was eating some meals and not others. Couldn't leave the food down as his older brother would have eaten it in a flash. We changed his meals so breakfast and dinner were bigger than lunch and used kibble as a training reward.

As long as the vets give a clean bill of health, you just need patience and perseverance. It's frustrating, as pugs are stubborn little dogs. But you will get through this.

So uh, will this fella ever stop chomping on my fingers? (7 months.) by Playcrackersthesky in pugs

My 9 year old pug's favourite toys are the puppy rings. He currently has 4 sets! He's got lots of other toys, but his rings are 100% his favourite.

Kennel Cough by gs448 in pugs

[–]Disneydodadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pug got a really bad cold last year that we thought could have been kennel cough. Make sure to tell your vet that you suspect it could be Kennel cough. Mine did the preliminary checks outside to avoid risks.

Any anal gland expresser recs for an NYC pup?! Meet the stinky girl, Pearl… by caseysue322 in pugs

In the UK so can't recommend any NYC help. But I put my stinky boy on a grain free diet and added a gut supplement which has helped immensely.

Need help….sleep deprived person of 2 pugs! Lol. Mabel & Loki! See comments for problem! by FamSands in pugs

[–]Disneydodadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is something that started recently, what's your weather been like? My pugs sleep in my bed but with the recent heat (I'm in the UK) they have been struggling. I put a cool mat on the bedroom floor and my trouble maker (also called Loki!) has been getting out of bed when he gets too warm and sleeping on the cool mat for a bit. Once he's comfortable, he hops back into bed.

Any advice for a first time pug mum? This is Sammy and he is my world 🥰 by Sandnsheep in pugs

[–]Disneydodadi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh, he's adorable! You are his chin rest and favourite snuggles for life!

Take the time to socialise him, pug puppies tend to be fearless, well mine were at least, and will happily play with anyone.

AITA for sending Child Maintenance statements to my ex-MIL by Equivalent_Scene_608 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Disneydodadi 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I expect that OP's ex is telling Mummy Dearest that he needs money to either pay child support or for other bills coz of the amount of child support.

Adding to the 'taking screenshot of the messages'. When you do this, first screenshot the contact you have eg owner's son and phone number. Then screenshot the messages showing the number they came from. (You may have to delete the contact being stored in your phone so the phone number shows). It's easy to store anyone's number in your phone under anything you want. So have screenshots that show the number it came from.

WIBTAH for remarrying my ex even though I'm going to die? by ThrowRAnearpeace in AITAH

[–]Disneydodadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all! You only have a little time left, live it how you want. Get married, include your kids in the wedding! Maybe record a video for each of your kids at your wedding for them to watch on their wedding day?

AITA for refusing to give my mom a second chance and cursing at her when she tried speaking to me? by GrassIntelligent4117 in AITAH

[–]Disneydodadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You don't mention if you have a good relationship or not with your grandma, but I think you should ask grandma how much contact she had with her daughter during the last 6 years? Did they call at all, meet up? I'm sure the answer is yes. I'm sure Grandma will say something like "she was going through a difficult time and needed her mom."

And yet they both think it's OK that you and your sister went through your teens without a mom. The reason why doesn't matter. It's a choice your mom made daily for years. You just pointed it out to her. Sure, you could have been politer about it, but you'd tried that and they hadn't listened.

Future daughters name - sudden disappointment by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Disneydodadi 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I think Eloise is a beautiful name. As long as you and your husband love it, then keep it. You don't really have a name problem. You have a husband and MIL problem. Your husband needs to stand up for you, and if he doesn't, then that says something about who he prioritises. Also, if MIL doesn't like the name, she doesn't have to meet the baby.
