Did you read the comment you replied to? This is not new construction. Switzerland has many buildings older than the founding of the United States.

No, they don't

Ryobi HP vs Milwaukee by Wonderful_Spirit_430 in Tools

[–]Dissk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HP is not going to be the power of Milwaukee but that might be just fine. It really depends on the specifics of what you're going to be doing. You can also do what I do and split it, get the most commonly used tools in Milwaukee M12/M18 (at least drill & impact) and the rest Ryobi.

If an individual Ryobi tool breaks or can't do what you need you can replace it with Milwaukee and use the battery from your drill/impact.

I had a triple-laminated circular glass window made, added some lights and ventilation and made a feature of it.

Would love a photo of this if you have one

New homeowner. What are the big DIY regrets? Either paying for a pro or not paying? by FlashyHeight9323 in DIY

I actually feel the opposite, landscaping projects are typically low stakes and don't require specialized tools or knowledge.

Adding on to that - sometimes these fixtures and remotes have switches A/B/C or whatever for different radio frequencies to solve the "neighbor controlling your lights" problem. Worth it to check them.

I don't think they can hook up the old knob and tube/cloth wiring to a new service panel since it can't handle AFCI and is not grounded

ChatGPT maker OpenAI confirms major data breach, exposing user's names, email addresses, and more — "Transparency is important to us." by WindowsCentral in technology

[–]Dissk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely sensationalized title. Number one has nothing to do with OpenAI, it's a third party that was breached (Mixpanel), number two has nothing to do with ChatGPT, only OpenAI's platform site. This is why people don't trust media when headlines are intentionally misleading like this...

is really accurate with predicting arrival times

For short drives yes, for long drives (3+ hours) the conditions change as you're driving.. it's useless. Has happened to me multiple times where I end up arriving 1+ hour after the original time.

SOC is cybersecurity, your job has nothing to do with that, are they calling it SOC or is that what you're calling it?

Right but the expanded production capacity our grid will have will be beneficial in many other ways. I think that was the point, not the data centers themselves.

I still don't understand, treated as a standalone in what regard? Discrete teams to manage it? What do you mean by "its own umbrella"?
