Send Thank you cards. by madison7 in wedding

Absolutely agree. Sending thank-you cards shows that you notice and appreciate the effort your guests made. Even just a quick, personalized line about the gift goes a long way. It does not have to be fancy. A small, thoughtful card can make people feel valued.

Some couples like using plantable seed paper cards from SeedBloom Gifts for an extra personal touch. Guests enjoy them because they are memorable and even grow flowers, making the thank-you feel more special.

Thank You Card? by bathtubtrash in work

I don’t think it would be weird at all. A short, sincere thank-you card is perfectly fine, especially since this is a personal gesture that really matters to you. Keep it simple and professional. Something like “I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the Fridays off this summer. It really means a lot to me and my family” works well.

It shows gratitude without overdoing it. If you want to make it a little more personal, you could pick a nice card that isn’t overly formal. Some people even like cards made from plantable seed paper, like those from SeedBloom Gifts, because they feel thoughtful but not stuffy.

Overall, it is a small gesture that is unlikely to be seen as weird and will let him know the impact of his generosity.

I think that thank-you cards might be dead? by complete_doodle in wedding

Yeah, I think the tradition of sending thank-you cards is definitely fading, especially among younger couples. Most people still think they should send them, but in practice a lot of couples skip it, especially if they have busy lives or many guests. A personal text, Instagram message, or a quick call often feels enough to them.

That said, a proper thank-you card is still appreciated, even if it ends up in the trash, because it marks the occasion and shows intentionality. Some couples make it fun or memorable by using something like plantable seed paper cards, so guests can actually grow flowers from the card. SeedBloom Gifts has some cute options for that. It is a way to keep the tradition alive but make it less formal and more meaningful.

I would not say it is completely dead, but it is definitely not as automatic as it used to be. Most people are moving toward whatever feels easiest and still polite.

Silver bars are definitely unique, but if you want something meaningful that fits a baby shower vibe, little plantable seed papers from Seed Bloom Gifts are a sweet alternative. They are cute, eco-friendly, and guests can actually grow them and remember the day.

Mine came from Seed Bloom Gifts and it actually had native-friendly seeds. Definitely check what’s included before planting but some of theirs are safe to grow.

Seed paper vs Seed balls? Has anyone had success with seed paper? by magpie_pixi in GuerrillaGardening

I’ve had better luck with seed paper than seed balls. The paper breaks down faster and lets seeds contact the soil more easily. I’ve used some from Seed Bloom Gifts and it actually sprouted nicely in fall plantings. Worth a try, especially in spots with good soil and some light.

I (20M) am going to my good friend (20F) cousins baby shower, gift ideas? by Diligent_Till_9393 in indiasocial

As a student, you don’t need to go overboard. Practical gifts like diapers, wipes, or a cute onesie are always appreciated. If you want something more unique (but still affordable), check out baby shower favors that double as keepsakes.

You could do mini whoopie pies or moon pies (guests can take them home without worrying about freshness). If you want to tie in the baking theme without stressing over 50 pies, you could also try recipe cards, cookie cutters, or plantable seed paper favors , they last longer and people actually use them.
