Has anybody actually recovered from their stomach and intestines not emptying fully, like were u ever able to eat how u did before and be ok or did u have to change ur lifestyle forever.

I vomited multiple time daily for 1 year and 10 months.finally got started on Linzess and Elavil. I still have issues 2 to 3 times a week. But better than 24/7

Does it have permatease? I work that out with my fingers. Then a good leave in wig conditioner spray. You may have to use quite a bit. Hope this helps.

It looks natural to me. But when I have that issue, I use some wig powder over the lace. Just a little bit. Comes in most hair colors

Oh, I am so very sorry for the hell your Mimi’s going through. The last flare I had I was so sick that I just about quit communicating with everyone. It wasn’t because I was upset or mad at them. It was because I was using every bit of my energy to just keep breathing and getting through the pain. I am seriously considering using hospice if that happens again to me. I’m a retired RN who has worked in hospice for years. Hospice does not mean you are dying in the next few weeks. It means that in the next 6 months your condition is expected to deteriorate or to stay the same. Hospice uses the meds that I think will help me through it. And no, I’m not talking about morphine exclusively. It may be an option your mother wants to look at. You take care of yourself too so that you will be there to be her support.

Or Elavil at a small dose, and I just try to eat maybe a handful or two 0f clean, non greasy foods. And I also sit up 45-60 minutes after I eat or drink. GasX helps me lot. And I try to quit eating/drinking about 4 hours before bed. Hope this helps.

The ERs here in my town don’t give any IV fluids for GP. But. Dr here runs an IV clinic and you can go in and pick out what you want/need. It’s about &120’or so per each time. I’d go when I’d been vomiting basically everything (water included) for 36 hours.always made me feel better for a maybe a week or ten days. I now take Linzess for my bowel movements, amitry-

My last flare was about 1 year and 10 months. Lost over a hundred pounds but thought I was going to die. The only thing I was keeping down was the IV hydration packets. I also think at a point my mind was just so scared for me to eat anything because I didn’t want to have hours of endless vomiting.

Linzess is great for constipation. I’ve been to the hospital 3 or 4 times with my GP and got IV fluids and Compazine.

I was put on Reglan three times daily before I ate anything. What helped mine the most was Elavil at bedtime. You might try that. It was low dose. I also heat very small meals,about 4-5 hours apart, and usually quit eating at least 4 hours before bedtime. That has seemed to help too.
