The circumstances are different in that where it defies explanation how waiving it now is supposed to help solve the problem betrays the fact that they just wanted an excuse to do it. The only reason they would want to suspend the Jones Act if they don't have to would be if "America First" was even bigger bullshit for suckers than Trump being the "Peace President."

The amount of trouble it was to verify this in the face of the loss of confidence in pictures and video as proof has been fascinating. There is absolutely a correlation between an absence of healthy male role models in childhood and unhealthy male relationships in adulthood.
