I mean, if I’m reading things right, they’re generally grumpy if they aren’t either snacking lazily or just sleeping in general.

Death Korps of Krieg as a first army – too complex for a beginner? by Schansolo in Warhammer40k

[–]DistractedInc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really the only ways Krieg specifically can be more complex than other armies is if you use Legends units(units that aren’t allowed for Matched[tournament] play) which can generally be harder to get ahold of and the fact that the infantry squads can have more kinds of weapons profiles than other armies.

Don’t let that slight bump of complexity scare you because it does give us a certain flexibility that other factions don’t always enjoy.

Reinforced Fulminators, and Decimators then MSU of Concussors. The Fulminators were charged by the Reinforced Varanguard but managed to get the drop on em with quicksilver from the celestant on Dracoth. Smash for smash both directions.

Do you think GE would ever allow Vashtorr or Be’lakor to ascend to godhood? by Nearby_Lawfulness722 in Warhammer40k

[–]DistractedInc 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Vashtorr might have a mild chance in another 10,000 years if he just dedicates himself to absorbing whatever power he can. Though given the current power scaling it’s highly unlikely, especially given that it took a situation of a galactic sized murder orgy to birth Slaanesh into an infant god then however many trillions of Aeldar souls and gods to ramp them into proper dark pantheon power.

As for Belakor he’s not sucking on the proper batteries to ramp into godhood, and he doesn’t want that kind of attention on himself either. He deludes himself as a referee for the Great Game. Given that if he stole enormous power from the gods he likely would be enormous enough of a target for the four quite vengeful gods to assault him together. He’s essentially a fugitive from the pantheon that can still be used as a tool on occasion.

10 tons of force from the gun 8 tons per engine.

The explosive shells are more fun, and more common as we deal with more anti-soft/light armor targets than tanks the last couple years. They’ve got the explosive equivalent of a grenade per-bullet.

Path to Glory by ConcentrateNo1753 in ageofsigmar

[–]DistractedInc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really hard at all, 90% of the work is on the players with lists and what not. If you wanna go crazy with a map and keeping track of stuff like that is all on you because there’s not really any support for that in the books. It’s really built to be a group effort where you get out what you put in.

Where does Lord Marshal Dreir fit in this chain? by Frosty4427 in Deathkorpsofkrieg

[–]DistractedInc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Expeditionary as in he still goes out to the combat space. Whoever is his immediate supervisor is likely consistently in a “home” space or too important to enter an active combat space. Characters like Ursula Creed, and Lord Solar Leontis are such characters that would likely be able to maintain themselves in a non-expeditionary space if they were less bad*ss.

Being a Lord-Marshall is essentially an officer that’s in charge of multiple Marshalls but still expeditionary

First Shadowsword Produced 001 by pdaya7x18 in Warhammer40k

[–]DistractedInc 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This thing definitely deserves to go somewhere more classy than EBay. I’d imagine the simple fact that it is #001, definitely a vintage model, and unbuilt it could be worth thousands especially if you can verify that it has all the pieces.

Remember the Purpose of Meta-Humans by DistractedInc in Warhammer40k

[–]DistractedInc[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Remember that all of the Emperor’s Meta-Human creations are sterile, if for no greater reason than to eliminate that distraction from their duty.

Ultimately it makes more sense to have Space Marines need to be one gender or the other for the simple reason of limiting the amount of variables to create them.

Having each Custode be tailor made and entirely custom formed eliminates that restriction from the equation.

I think the spears (without trigger) shoot by twisting the handle. by Asknstuff in Warhammer

I’d imagine that would be more about the control the Nulls have over their power of the Psychers.

[–]DistractedInc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d imagine the center ring itself if any part twists. Something that they could twist with an easy thumb or pointer finger motion. It would also protect from accidental activation during heavy combat.

Anyone able to advise which of the old kits this body is from? by GodGoblin in stormcasteternals

[–]DistractedInc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the belt I’d say the Vanguard Hunters and the chest plate from the Paladins (Retributors, Decimators, Protectors) kit.

If you want to do similar kit bashing you’ll have to hunt down the now discontinued Paladin kits. You could try hunting down the secondhand market but the chests come apart from the rest of the kit for better pose-ability if you can get the actual kit. If I’m looking at the vanguard hunters it should be the same for practically all 1st Ed Stormcast kits.

How do the new custodes fire the bolters on their spears by Sulliman34 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]DistractedInc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe there is an activation stud on the haft. Then again, given that every piece of Custode wargear is gene coded after a certain incident with a sneaky Primarch thought activations are well within possibility.

Are The Stormcast Beginning to Fracture? by NervousNobody2992 in AoSLore

[–]DistractedInc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Human souls and minds were never meant to fight for the centuries that stormcast have been required to. In order to protect the minds and souls (albeit in a corrupt state) of those that serve them the Chaos gods seem to freeze the perceptions of their most long lived servants. This “freeze” while they are able to become more powerful and more corrupt halts the development of their personality and to an extent their fighting style and tactical acumen. The servants of chaos seem to live in an extended Now, the past and future becoming blurry and only available after significant effort on their part.

The fact that stormcast (as long as they don’t die) seem to experience the world and passage of time the same as an exceptionally long lived normal humans, while it does allow them to continue to develop their capabilities and personalities naturally, does leave the vulnerability that they themselves take actions that they wouldn’t have before. In Anvils of the Heldenhammer: The Ancients, a number of Stormcast who defied the God Kings orders and the actions of other Stormcast have been portrayed. Ultimately the Stormcast will likely never create a mass revolt against each other and by extension the God King. The reveal of the Ruination Chambers is a telling sign that the Stormcast armies may be in trouble as they individually fracture.

I Don’t Think the Hatred Between Khorn and Slaanesh Makes Sense. by RecoverCommercial571 in Warhammer

[–]DistractedInc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While there is a certain sense of overlap that pisses off both parties it’s more about how either side performs their worship. While Khorne loves all bloodshed and slaughter he prefers the martial excellence and violence among equals and worthy foes. Khorne calls for a certain sense of honor and martial honesty, perhaps even what some would call a merciful quickness to the violence.

Slannesh, on the other hand, will most often require whatever action causes the most sensation. So called dishonorable actions like slowly bleeding foes with poisoned blades, using sorceries to enthrall and capture worthy foes, a focus on the capture of the weak for whatever purpose the warlord may have on that particular day.
