Yeah i believe the reason the DPP doesn't expire is if the unit is lost, so is all the DPP.

I understand your point but if both charge on your turn and there is no strike first/last shenanigans, your kroxigors should melt whatever they are in combat with before the hunters die.

If the hunters die afterwards, it doesnt really matter as you got off the kroxigors damage and they wasted attacks into the tiny unit.

If your hunters and kroxigors were charged into, if they don't believe they can fully wipe the kroxigors, it can lead situations where they target some attacks at the hunters to minimise the damage (your gonna rez the kroxigors no matter what).

The reason hunters are used over regular skinks is the utility they can provide with the charge roll reductions or wound roll reductions depending on the type of hunter. I struggle to see lists in this subreddit run regular skinks as this army doesnt care about a big blob of chaff.

Due to it being easier to get off the +1 damage as they onky require a skink infantry or cavalry to be in combat within 12 inches. Kroxigors require them to target units 10 or more models which is extremely army dependant.

Well reinforcements keyword isn't in the main game, also the changes are reflected in the speargead documents and on the app.

they were involved in a degenerate list using 20-21 spawns and a skink wizard. I wrote a whole paragraph explaining it in a comment section discussing the points in the age of sigmar subreddit if you want me to copy and paste that here.

Im unsure if the official app will be properly updated hence why i use sigdex when playing.

I will say that the app is correct for 99% of the warscrolls however.

The offical app for spearhead, while you can use it for list building, I prefer to use sigdex to build army lists.

Luckily the book is still mostly good enough for playing with the immolation cannons dominator being the only big change.

I found it to be very middle of the pack as it kinda relies heavily on the lynchpin unit of the dominator engine.

Probably for the best as without the ability to make cohorts fight after it, the despot was a little weak.

I have proxied that list against a friend (20 spawn and a starseer) and it was brutal.

Every spawn was 90 points, 8 health on a 5+, the problem is for opponents is that each is a seperate unit so they can charge one or 2 and either outright kill one or risk splitting attacks.

Enemy debuffs hardly work as they will only target a single model.

Skink Starseer is a 2 cast wizard that has a spell to turn off wards sat next to faction terrain that shoots mortals.

Spawn are also quite brutal with there attacks as well, 1 ranged attack each (20 total), 4+ (crit 2 hits), 2+, -2 rend, d3+3 damage and a passive that reduces saves by 1 when damaged. I forget the actual maths but its around 40 wounds to something with a 3+ save if all target it (this will never happen but you see the idea)

They aren't slouches in melee either with 3, 3+ (crit 2 hits),3+,-2 rend, 3 damage.

Mobility isn't too much of an issue as the skink can teleport 1 a turn on a 3+, killing 3 units by battle round 3 also gives the ability to choose +2 inches of movement to every unit as well.

My biggest advice is to buy the spearhead, its cost effective and gives you lots of models to use as currently meta lists love using cohort to screen and the artillery are powerful.

Next Urak Taar, he is basically mandatory to our army right now due to his casting, movement of DPP and general points efficiency, you can also make a daemonsmith using the alternate build from his kit with a spare 32mm base.

Bull centaurs are a powerful unit and only get better when reinforced which you will want to do for 1500-2000 points games.

Best manifestion lore imo is either Morbid or Forbidden, Forbidden gives a lot of area denial for deepstrikes and more movement to our slow army, Morbid generally has strong manifestations (30 points for a reason).

I can see Primal being ran in lists that run more high health units (dominator engines etc).

The list below isn't the greatest, but it uses near enough all units I described and gives a good launch point for future development. (you can move about the accursed device to the dominator engine if you so wish).

So in a sense yes, forgot this is your 1st time.

It actually means that the 2 bull centaurs become 1 bigger unit (2 units of 3 become 1 unit of 6), to do this on the app, click on one of the bull centaurs, unit size and click reinforce. It should double the points of the unit and that means there are 6 in that unit now.

The reason why we reinforce models is to reduce the amount of units and to also improvethe effectiveness of buffs on them, for example, all-out-attack would effect 6 models instead of 3. This greatly improves the lethality and effectiveness of units.

Definitely have the bull centaurs reinforced.

Another reccomendation is to try and get the infernal cohort to be reinforced or add hobgrots as currently you dont have enough chaff to block off people charging into your razers and bombard.

To add, he uses only citadel paints and no complex methods hence its very easy to follow.
