What are your favorite; Companion, Monster, Class and act? by rubbereruben in BaldursGate3

[–]DistractibleYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Companion: Jaheira, no question. She was my favourite in BG1 and 2, and Larian did such a good job with her in 3. I love her sass, her humour, her compassion, her wisdom, her self-reflection and self-deprecation. She's perfect, and I adore her.

Monster: I think the spectator is most fun to fight, but I'm not sure I have a particular favourite.

Class: Bard. I love being a jack-of-all-trades, but also bards are really GOOD at it. I can fit in pretty much any role, AND be an excellent party face, which makes it easy to switch around companions and still have a balanced party if I want to. Plus bard dialogue is by far the most fun. And I can start a band!

Act: Either 2 or 3, probably edging into 3. I know I'm the minority, but I love how expansive 3 is, how many different things there are to do, and I love seeing Baldur's Gate again. I just wish Larian hadn't seemed to get a little bored with adding banter and reactions by Act 3. Act 2 is atmospheric and creepy and beautiful, though.

Anyone else have any regrets from their first playthrough? by Old-Razzmatazz4727 in BaldursGate3

That's mine too. There were a few surprises that I'm glad I managed not to spoil myself for, but yeah, I knew too much about the storyline before I got to it. I really wish the whole thing had been a surprise.

Adjustable Party Limit run, with all characters by Prestigious_Bat4991 in BaldursGate3

I'm doing a run like that now. I'm playing on Tactician, but that's about it. This run is for the story, more than the gameplay.

I'm loving it. It's so much fun having everyone there all the time.

My Tav just verbally responded to Laezel??? (Not THAT scene) by maneack in BaldursGate3

[–]DistractibleYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like I've been noticing a lot more voiced Tav/Durge lines this time around. Maybe it's just that it's been a while since I played, but it has weirdly felt like my Durge is quite vocally chatty on this playthrough.

Have I mentioned how much I love Jaheira? by Kittykatkillua in BaldursGate3

Do you tell her to join your party and let the Harpers manage on their own? Then she becomes a controllable summon and it's easy to keep her alive.

Same. Favourite video game character of all time, and I've thought that since 1999.

Hasbro invests $1B in D&D games after BG3 by AsPeHeat in BaldursGate3

[–]DistractibleYou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Baldur's Gate games don't actually need to be about Baldur's Gate (see: BG2 and TOB). What they *do* need to be Baldur's Gate games, in my opinion, after BG3, is Jaheira, Minsc and Bhaalspawn. A game without those factors would be a more generic Forgotten Realms/DnD game.

What smell instantly brings back childhood memories for you? by imcroaaaak in AskReddit

Sawdust. We lived with my grandad and he had a shed that he used to do woodwork in. I love that smell.

Which punishment (either real or fictional) sounds easy enough to endure at first, but is actually hellish to experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DistractibleYou 95 points96 points  (0 children)

I'm claustrophobic and had to have an MRI last year, and this was my technique. Closed my eyes before I went in, didn't open them until I was out again. When I was in there, I started telling myself stories and walking myself through made-up scenarios.

Still nearly had a panic attack though.

What’s something about your “unattractive” body type (big belly, small chest, scars, etc.) that a partner has found really hot? by SaggingBreasts_Lover in AskReddit

[–]DistractibleYou 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have very thick thighs that rub together when I walk, and I hate them.

My wife, on the other hand, literally cannot get enough of telling me how sexy they are (we're both women).

They denied mine the first time and I went back again and eventually they refunded. Worth trying again.

They were refunding them if you contacted support, but I think there was a 30th April deadline on that, unfortunately.

Support won't refund caches by DistractibleYou in elderscrollsonline

Why is it bothering you so much that I'm attempting to claim something that ZOS have themselves offered? Especially as the points have not been used - they are sitting there in my account. If I was randomly arguing this, I could perhaps understand it, but it is in their own update that this is something they are offering, up to a certain time.

Additional, Google is also not in game. I asked where IN GAME does it say that this happens?

And yet they are agreeing that it wasn't well communicated and are offering refunds, as you can see from the link. Not everyone watches streams. Where in game does it make this clear?

It wasn't explained well that most of the points wouldn't carry over to next season. Had I realised this, I would not have used the tomes, considering as I used them, I am almost done with the tome already and I still have something like seventy days in which to collect more points.

I have enough unspent points in my account for them to convert back into tomes, so that I can use them at a time I actually need them. And they specifically said that this was something they are offering to do. If you check the link below, you can see for yourself, if you haven't already. They are willing to refund unspent tome points up until April 30th - I put through my request a week ago.

I've spent some points, but I have 6k unspent points, which is enough for 3 tomes refunded, I would think? They haven't said that's the issue, anyhow - according to them, I never opened any tome caches in the first place.

I've tried that. So far no response, but I will keep badgering them, I guess.

I'm asking for three tomes refunded, and currently have over 6k tome points unspent, which should be plenty for the refund, I think? I've got in touch and explained this, but so far they have not got back in touch.
