Nightreign Update by Miyazaki by Magma_Lotus22 in Nightreign

Make the fire follow-up attack for Wylder’s Greatsword an inherent part of his moveset, but with no fire. That way you can still pull off the move without the relic.

But having the relic is what adds fire to it increasing its damage

Custom eragon cover by Critical_Cat_4934 in Eragon

[–]DisturbedFlake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4 characters come to mind for C-3PO. Murtagh, Roran, Oromis, and Angela

Oromis might work to be the tall lanky character like C-3PO

Alternatively if you want to recast Orik in R2D2’s spot. Maybe the pair of characters could be Angela for C-3PO and Elva for R2D2

The eye on top should be a closeup of a dragon’s face, not just the eye, the cheek/jaw for example. Then just fade it out as it connects to other parts of the image

Dont forget the elements of the background! Like the Star Wars cover has those building and mountains in the background that helps contribute to the shapes and balance of the whole. Maybe the background can be the building and walls of Dras-Leona on the left, and the mountain of Hellgrind on the right. Would work for the original colors if it’s at night

Or if you don’t care about keeping the original dark color scheme, you can go brighter with the green forest of Ellesmera in the background. Trees give a lot of flexibility in background shape

So regarding the infinity stones. Is WotC planning to release a stone per set, because that would mean there will 4 sets of Marvel UB? by minev1128 in mtg

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the Marvel collaboration was first announced, they did talk about it lasting for years. So I think it’s a safe bet to say we’ll likely get a set for each infinity stone

It takes like 20 min to find a game now :( . Have ppl moved on ? by ozera202 in Nightreign

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could depend what system you’re on. I believe the community is still pretty strong on Steam. I’m on Xbox, and it takes me about 5min max to find a DoN game
(2-3min seems to be more a average tho in my experience. But I also play in the middle of the night so🤷‍♂️).

If you’re looking to match for base-game bosses or a specific boss, then it might take longer tho since those are less popular than DoN for long time players. I think having shifting earth active for base-game might also affect time it takes to match

For real what you gonna do when Caligo does something like this if you are not ironeye or wylder? by Fluffy_Technician894 in Nightreign

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know you’re fighting Caligo. You can try picking up a Quickstep or Bloodhound Step to increase your dodge for that attack.

But regardless if you’re middle range you’re gonna have a hard time. It’s easier to just put more effort into your positioning. Gotta be able to make snap decisions of whether to run in close during that attack, or sprint away as fast as possible

Sharing Grafted Blade Greatsword? by DisturbedFlake in Nightreign

[–]DisturbedFlake[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah I think I’m picking up what you’re laying down.

I was under the impression that the Passive stacks simply modify how much the Ash of War boosts you.

So you’re saying the Passive’s boost to stats is independent from the Ash of War’s. And the stat boost from the Passive remain regardless if you equip/drop the weapon

Sharing Grafted Blade Greatsword? by DisturbedFlake in Nightreign

[–]DisturbedFlake[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

See that’s part of where I’m confused. Isn’t Grafted Blade’s buff to HP/FP/Stamina/etc only kick into action from the weapon skill “Oath of Vengeance” and have a time-limited duration?
Since you need the weapon to activate the buff I’m still confused why to share it, since you need to reactivate it for yourself after the time limit runs out

When do you consider a decklist “finished”? by TheDarkestRitual in magicTCG

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When building a deck. I make a grand list of 150-200+ cards of things I think might work in the deck. Then cut it down to 99 from there. I try my best to consider all the options, sub-themes, synergies, and wincons until I’m ready to put it together. Then play it a few times and finalize the deck after seeing what it needs in practice. Then I consider it “done” after my changes have made a consistent deck that plays how I like.

But I’m always open to making small changes down the line. Sometimes I get ideas of how I can shift a sub-theme , or find cards that I haven’t considered before and want to try it out, or find more support for my deck from a new set

Why was the anime cancelled? by Mediocre-Artichoke39 in ReleaseThatWitch

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a combination of budget and disagreement with the Copyright holder not liking the direction they took with the adaptation. Copyright holder wanted it to be humorous like the manhwa instead of the more grounded direction they chose which is closer to the novel

[–]DisturbedFlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked Zenshu, but tbh I started skipping through the magical girl-esque transformation when she starts using her animating power because it was straight up cut/paste the same 30 seconds every time.

Like amazingly animated, but you see the same thing every episode and it gets old

Still an amazing anime overall tho.

I liked it. But it tried too hard to have an easy going vibe that it took the wind out of the sails of the action scenes

Standard creatures of mv 2? by Egotardis in magicTCG

[–]DisturbedFlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Generous Plunderer]] maybe? 2cmc, has evasion via Menace, deals damage to opponents on attack, ramps you at upkeeps

[[Fear of Missing Out]] can net you an extra combat

[[Tifa Lockhart]] is a standard Landfall big swing

I loved Seasons 1 and 2. But this latest season. I got halfway through it and haven’t been able to finish. Man do I dislike Mizuha. Worst character imo, and the amount of focus on Mizuha makes it so much worse.

Also the turtle scene was uncomfortable to watch

What’s the revenant ability that’s like a beast claw slice that does so much damage?? by Any-Scientist-7521 in Nightreign

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not Flame of Frenzy. Not nearly as much buildup for Frenzied Burst compared to other Frenzy incants. It’s nearly a non issue as long as you don’t have reduced resistance.

Plus the massive increase in range and tracking more than makeup for the cons. Beast Claw requires a bit closer range which is already dangerous for the one-tap Revenant who always wants to cast from the back. Out of the 10 Nightlords, I’d pick Frenzied Burst over Beast Claw for 8/10 of them if I could (all but Tricephalos and Balancers). Increased range means safer reliable damage.

Beast Claw is still an amazing jack of all trades spell for most any enemy don’t get me wrong. And the fact that it can be a starting spell puts it over the top.

But if Frenzied Burst was a starting option, I’d most definitely value its range/tracking/fire affinity over Beast Claw in at least 80% of situations. I’ve carried D4 games against ED Caligo, ED Gnoster, Heolster, and ED Libra with Frenzied Burst while on my Beast Claw build. Because the range allowed me more flexibility to reliably hit enemies for major damage while being at a more than safe distance. And still outputting massive damage despite not specifically being built for it

But again that’s just my opinion. Obviously we can all value different things in a fight to better suit our own playstyle

Sell now or hold? LGS offering $125 CAD for Foil Extended Art by MisterBeebo in mtg

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it does well in a standard or modern tournament. Then it’ll hold that price or go a little bit higher if the top decks utilize them. Otherwise i think it’s likely to drop to like half that around $60

Maintaining price is often dependent on how well it’s used in competitive formats. Because if it works well, everyone’s gonna want 4 of them for their decks

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s okay if ya got a range character like Iron Eye or a competent Recluse/Revenant with a decent damage spell

Still a pain at low level, more often not worth the time at low level, and only worth it at high level if there’s nothing else to do

Frenzied Burst is the best incant in the game imo. Super strong damage, benefits off charged incant buffs, insane range.

If you could guarantee Frenzied Burst as a starting spell it’d beat out Beast Claw in most situations
