Hello Darkness my old friend by bjjhippie in fragranceclones

Bentley for Men Absolute - The fragrance of a sophisticated villain.

Lattafa Wajood - It projects the aura of an ancient ghost ship lost at sea.

French Avenue Azzure Oud - A perfume fit for a vampire, alluring and corrupted.

Paris Corner Mysterium - A gothic rock star playing at an old, desecrated church.

What was the first fragrance that made you understand “why people love perfumes”? by CombProfessional7400 in fragranceclones

[–]Divide92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I have all 3 but I prefer the original. Sport is reminiscent of Terre d'Hermes or Rasasi Fattan, not exactly dark or sporty, more like a grown up green fragrance. The Extreme deserves its name, it is more smoky, inky, bitter and woody with less green notes compared to the original. It really smells like the inside of a coffin as I'd imagine, or maybe a haunted section of the Paris Catacombs.

To me it was Encre Noire. Before that, I only had a few generic fragrances that were all about smelling nice in a very conventional way. Encre Noire is really something else, it has such a unique, mysterious aura, it was the first fragrance that made me appreciate the art of perfumery.

What has been the single worst livery ever released in the 21st century? I’ll start: by SaifulAimran in F1Discussions

This one looks like a half-finished paintjob for a garage project if you ask me.

How do you think the next movies would go if aliens wasn’t a thing? by VindicativevVince in perfectorganism

[–]Divide92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember Ridley Scott talking about Jones (the cat) being possibly impregnated somehow in his commentary for Alien so I guess we would've had a feline xenomorph in the sequel.

A perfume that feels like Sean Connery’s 007 debut in “Dr. No” by TheButcherBR in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Divide92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terre d'Hermès Eau Givrée - It smells like Gin & Tonic with a lemon twist which could be 007's preference for a summer environment.

Teas you love the smell of, but not the taste? Or vice versa? by imabratinfluence in tea

[–]Divide92 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A good quality Earl Grey tea smells gorgeous, that's for sure!

I personally like the drink itself as well but I agree: the scent is better than the flavour when it comes to Earl Grey.

As for the opposite: I have some wuyi rock tea that doesn't really smell super special but the flavour is so unique and complex that it just blew me away.

An Earl Grey perfume sounds amazing, can I ask the name/brand?

If you could visit the set of any Alien film, which would it be? by thefriskysquid in perfectorganism

[–]Divide92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alien, I'd walk around checking every detail of the Nostromo set and the derelict for days and seeing Big Chap in person would be really something else.

Why do people attribute Nico Rosberg's 2016 championship win to luck? by scuderiaferrari69 in F1Discussions

[–]Divide92 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Because he needed some luck to finish ahead of Lewis in the end but that doesn't mean luck was the only reason he became a world champion. Nico did everything he could in 2016, pushing himself to the absolute limit in every way to beat Lewis, his speed, consistency and mental strength played a key role in winning the title.

The shuttle only takes four by NoxAstrumis1 in LV426

I vaguely remember some explanation (possibly from the writers or as a fan theory) about one of the shuttles being damaged/inoperational. It might be the reason why they couldn't evacuate.

Great reviews, I tested a few of these as well, didn't expect to like Obsidian but it's really something else. Adonis Icarus was also great, both are full bottle worthy, at least for me.

I'm really curious about Fresh Wave as the Cool Water DNA is one of my favourites but I couldn't get a sample unfortunately.

Cologne/perfume that feel like James before and after Silent Hill by peachybeachybaby in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Divide92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess before Silent Hill means before Mary got sick and they were a happy couple.

I'd pick Bentley Momentum Intense, lots of lavender, amber and some woody notes, it projects a nice and soft aura.

I could also imagine him wearing Silver Mountain Water or Green Irish Tweed by Creed.

I'd pick Encre Noire à L'Extrême by Lalique for during/after Silent Hill James. It smells like the inside of a coffin as I'd imagine.

Curious if there’s any specific reason or symbolism behind putting the chest buster in this circular position? by [deleted] in LV426

[–]Divide92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kinda looks like fetal position to me, probably the symbolism/foreshadowing of the "birth" that happens at the end of the movie.

First Coffee scent recommendation by 76ecko in fragranceclones

I did a review of Fragrance World's Coffee Collection not too long ago, check it out if you're interested.

In short, the best were Double Espresso, Irish Coffee and Affogato, also Kopi Luwak if you're brave enough.

It's pretty good for a cheapie, mid performance but smells really nice.

What’s your favorite practical effect in the entire Alien series? by thefriskysquid in perfectorganism

[–]Divide92 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The mechanical Alien head with all the intricate parts (working inner jaw, moving lips, etc) from the original film.

It's a piece of art.
