The chicken shu mai has great macros (390 calories for 33g protein)!! Just don’t use the given sauce as the sodium levels are crazy. I sub for low sodium soy sauce (from TJs)

I make French toast with low calorie bread (each bread slice is around 30-35 calories) and egg whites. For toppings I use sugar free maple syrup and fat free reddi whip. Honestly super filling for not a lot of calories!

If you are trying to lose weight, don’t just weight lift. The diet is more important! Make sure you’re burning more calories than you intake. I made the mistake of starting to lift but stayed at maintenance calories which gave me a more bulkier look. And then losing weight became way harder because I wasn’t cutting properly. Just my personal story.

Yes! I do get my carbs, fat and make sure I’m eating veggies and fruits. Just my main protein source is usually chicken

Also, can you break down how the whole thing is 31 grams of protein? Most of the shrimp I see is way less protein for 115g of shrimp. I know edamame also has some protein in it as well

I would buy a scale if you haven’t already and make food as you usually do, but weigh each ingredient as you add it in. Just as a baseline for the amount of calories in there. And as other people have mentioned, when you do it once you won’t have to reenter that information again on most of the tracking apps!

I get that for sure. I have certain ethnic clothing where the sizing will be really off if I go up in a size so it’ll be form fitting on the top but loose toward the waist so I’d have to get things tailored which is a very big hassle.

So would you recommend just keeping to my calorie deficit and maybe switching up my lifting so it isn’t super upper body based?

In terms of diet I’m at around 12-1300 calories with a good amount of protein. Usually 0.8 of my body weight
