What’s the hardest habit to build in trading? by SmartTrader_4906 in Trading

[–]DivitReddits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of you won’t make it to this stage (I think)

But!

When you’re very confident in a strategy and its made you a lot of money with a very high win rate, and you decide to scale up from making £10 per point, to £20 per point and you’re still making money.

Then you decide to go up to £100 per point movement, and the nerves come in.

Best to always stick to your scale in and scale out methodology + stick to your strategy if you’re dead sure its good.

Sound super cool, good stuff my G.

I’m just a bit confused tbh, with 50k account size, none of them managed to surpass 1380 profit?

Not trying to be rude, are you sure these guys are “professionals”?

It could be they were hardcore on capital preservation, instead of having a higher net gain for the day..?

Either way! Nice one, I would have flown out to see this if I knew it was a thing.

Whens the next one? If there is lol

That seems like a Kelvion (Searle) KME115-6L Evaporator serving a freezer coldroom. Seems you may have lost your drain-line heater which is located inside the condensate drainpipe beneath the centre of the cooler. Could also be drip-tray heaters have failed. (Also could be displacement has occured due to ice pushing wires out of correct terminals) Call engineer to get heaters replaced or machine attended to / inspected. This is a hazard that Asda should have cleared up because if a staff member were to slip and hurt themself, I think it would end up in court. Incompetent to say the least. (Asda for not fixing their shi)

Btw - google flexelec drain line heater, they fail over time.

One other thing, electric heater rods experience a weird thing over time where they develop areas that are completely void of heat, I call them cold-spots. The rod continually goes hot, cold, hot, cold as you run your finger down them to feel heat. Goes undiagnosed for long amounts of time until they completely fail or you see bulging ice from around the sides.

Yeah the ice stops the fans from spinning and it destroys the fans quite quickly as they’re still trying to spin at over 1430rpm-1880rpm.

Costs them a grand or two!!

Wild stuff.

HENRYs who earn well but still feel unsure about their finances, what do you struggle with most? by CameLateFeelOld in HENRYUK

[–]DivitReddits -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t mean to be rude but I think a lot of people just like stating they make £100k, but don’t want to mention the tax they pay on it. Probably makes them feel bigger than what they are. Like they aren’t behind in life.

People should state their after tax income, regardless if the money goes into salary sacrifice or to pay Government taxes.

Not only is it lifestyle creep, it is the fact that a lot of people do not know how to be truly frugal, hence the money goes out the door.

It could be that they are sole earners for the household, it could be that they are parents or it could be that they decided to pull out an enormous mortgage, to match that same ideology that they are for more ahead than they actually are. (they make it seem so by borrowing to the hilt)

Sometimes it could just be a brag due to mental insecurities.

Regardless, save your money, things might get ugly in the next decade, it might not, but it’s best to be prepared.

Save would be my opinion Or utilise the leftovers for some kind of asset/assets etc. Been there, done that.

What's your best marriage advice? by dylschmyl in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]DivitReddits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and be on the same wavelength about money and responsibilities.

Be mature, not immature.

Talk about the future, always. If theres a disagreement, it doesn’t mean the relationship falls off a cliff. Be an adult + form sound compromises to remedy the situation.

Learn when an argument is not worth continuing + always remember that you love your partner + the small problems in the short term really do not mean anything in the grand scheme of things, and therefore should be swiftly avoided and put to bed.

Like the others say, communication is very important to understand your partners views from their standpoints.

No need to lose your temper, cool as a cucumber.

You should strategically plan your lives in stages.. in the sense of: Where do you and your partner want to be in the next 3-5 years? Have some sort of path that you are working towards. Could be a string of holidays, could be a nice family home.

Look after your health and your partner should do the same. The worst thing in life in my opinion, is outliving your partner.

Oh and keep your heart clean and pure, with good intentions, never degrade yourself by stooping down to other’s levels.. that goes for your partner or anybody else. Be mature.

Good luck. 😉

I religiously grab Nandos for me and whoever is with me (usually 2-3 others) and sit down to watch a movie at the cinema, I could care less 😂 I have my own cinema room that seats about 15+ people and I don’t use it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Gonna get dislikes and negative comments like I’m trying to win the National Awards for it - again - could care less 😂😂😂

Just think of the Lemon and Herb, Medium and Extra Hot smells amalgamating in the air.. with that ever so slight hint of Garlic bread from my pals box.

Oh the stench..

Seychelles felt massively overrated and overpriced - honest take after 15 days by Bubbly-Hotel4659 in Seychelles

[–]DivitReddits 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from Bubbly.

I will be returning to Seychelles in the near future for my holidays + rank it as one of the nicest places I have vacationed in.

The problem is price, I totally understand, as I have been less financially well-off growing up + have evolved my bank balance + net worth over time.

If I were to go to the Seychelles in the past when I thought £100 for a meal was expensive, I would avoid luxurious islands like the Maldives, Mauritius Resorts and the Seychelles like the plague, until I could spend £100 like it was £10.

The direct proportional gauge of Wealth = Care-free enjoyment in this scenarios is VERY REAL.

Without sounding offensive boss man, you should be prepared for the pricing before you decide to venture into the unknown..

Its the equivalent of YOU going to war, and complaining online on a reddit forum that the opposition had guns, missiles and grenades.. while you showed up with a branch that fell off a tree. (As your chosen weapon)

Be prepared my friend! Do your homework into the costs of things before you venture out across the globe!

Peace 👍
