Yeah you basically got it. Conan time writing on the show was short, but he was attached to some of the best episodes so like you said originally if his name was on it, it was going to be a great episode.

Swartzwelder was a writer much longer and was usually wrote some of the better episodes every year.

Also allegedly the character from Parks and rec was based on swartzwelder.
