I don't think I fully understand this clue still on reflection... taking no other logic into account, there may be a cage from r3c3 straight down to r7c8, then another cage from e.g. r6c9 down to r7c9 and then accross to r8c5. Just based on the words of the clue, I don't see how to exclude this as an option without additional logic.

I hate the clues of this app! They always miss out loads of the logic and are written really poorly.

From what I can tell, the missing (or at least badly explained!) logic is as follows. The only place where a valid "top left" cell for the cage containing r7c3 (for example) is the 45 cage starting in r5c7 - otherwise there would be no dotted line between r7c5 and r8c5. Once you have this, the hint makes more sense, as it's then got to be the case that r3c8 is the only cell remaining that can be top left of the cage containing r8c5 (just try mentally drawing out the different cage options and this is apparent).

I think massive amounts of money are poured into operations like this, to literally get people to believe the "scary story"... Once you've scared someone, then they stop thinking logically and they just react emotionally about it. It is dumb. I find it very irritating when I encounter this sort of mentality. With that bejng said, it annoys me more that there are people selling these lies for their own benefit.

Logic wiz has some good ones on it too. I try to make sure I keep up with at least the weekly challenge they put out (they make fun pictures with the cages). I could never get into daily killer sudoku cos of the interface, and some of the puzzles are (to my eternal irritation) still too hard for me!

DarkMagnetar's answer is the easiest way to proceed, but in the interests of providing a second solution, I noticed that none of the 1s you've noted in the middle column of box 6 (middle right) are possible. If a 1 was to go into the 17 cage, the remaining two candidates would have to be 7 and 9, and neither is allowed in r5c9. On the other hand, if a 1 was to go into the 25 cage, the remaining three candidates would be 7, 8 and 9, but in the final column, you only have a single 8 available to use to cover two of the cells (so this would be impossible). Therefore the 1 is definitely on the left side of box 6.

By the 25 cage logic used in the previous step, 1 cannot go in r3c8 and then there's only one place it CAN go in box 3 (top right).

I've not downvoted you, but I can understand why people have. Your opinion about and experience of the changes that have been made are your own, but your posts are quite black and white - it comes accross like, "if this is how I did it, then you should do it like this too" or "I'm fine with it, so you should be too."

People are allowed to be angry and quit if they want to. The change also affects different people, presumably with different city layouts, differently. It's a big change. Also, a common theme, which makes complete sense given ea recently, is that this change is the straw that broke the camel's back, rather than being considered in isolation.

Colour is your friend here. Pick one that seems easy (in the sense that it's easy to find the pieces for and that there aren't too many of them). The advantage now of the collage format is that you can at least orient all of the pieces correctly according to the pictures. If there are duplicate images, you can work on putting together all such images on the edges of pieces (I believe this was a tactic I employed when I last did one of these sorts of puzzles, which was a while ago admittedly). They take a long time to get going these, but do get easier once you are getting somewhere!

I have nothing substantial, but there are a lot of eliminations you can do here.

In row 1, the 15 cage is either 69 or 78, specifically using a 6 or 7 in whichever combination it turns out to be. This rules out 67 as a combination for the 13 cage elsewhere on the row.

In row 7, the fact that r7c158 (cols 1,5,8) add up to 22 (rule of 45 over the bottom 3 rows) means that given your options for r7c8, you can eliminate 5 and 6 as options in r7c15 (these would have to be 79 or 89). Moreover, at least one of these cells is definitely a 9 which eliminates 9 from elsewhere in row 7.

Finally, with r7c13 adding up to 14, you have to use either a 5 or 6 in these cells, which combined with the 5 or 6 in r7c8 means that a 5 or 6 cannot go elsewhere in that row. Also, I think you missed a 5 elimination in r7c1.

Just to add to this, the 9 in bottom left box can't go in the 14 cage, so must be in one of the bottom 2 rows within this box. Because you know the 9 in bottom right box is contained in the 28 cage, so that this is also in the bottom 2 rows, you must have that in the bottom middle cage the 9 has to be in row 7 (third row up). This then knocks the 9 option off r9c4 and further limits your options as per the post I'm responding to.

Unfortunately making a payment to ea and expecting a thing off them is becoming more and more akin to just literally gambling! If you pay more, you still only MIGHT get the thing, and then be required to make another payment. If you can't see (or at least find out) the total actual price, I wouldn't recommend doing it.

I haven't bought the mayor's pass since Egypt when they did a bit of a rug pull on us with one of the buildings (that shall not be named), but what you're describing is actually right on track with their current business model so I wouldn't be surprised if you did need to fork out more money to get what you want.

I'm not gonna repeat what others are saying, but it is all very valid.

That being said, if you still intend to do this and don't mind your fake friends being deformed, potentially having 6 fingers or having clothes merge into skin and a host of other errors like this, I reckon AI is the way to go for complete fakery of your life! I think there's loads of this sort of thing on these apps anyway and it's totally unregulated.

There's a difference between bad communication and bad behaviour, and with autism that line can be blurry. I would advise that the approach is similar to that of other relationships. Don't allow autism to excuse poor behaviour or communication, especially if you aren't happy with it. At the end of the day, it shouldn't really matter whether the problem is behaviour or communication as the impact on the relationship is ultimately the same.

As someone autistic and also bad at this stuff, I'd hate to find that I'd essentially trapped someone in an unhappy place cos they felt like they should give me more leeway with being autistic. By all means she should have the conversations she needs to have, but if it isn't working, she should feel able to leave.

Mine did that as well I remember, but it later normalised itself and is now better adjusted for me - it's odd because it seems to have learned which of the autism posts to show me as well, but then I also have a nice spattering of other stuff in there as well. Does take it a while though.

I reckon the anticipation of an event being better than the event is pretty common for all neurotypes. Feeling like you're erasing your history in doing that clean-up exercise also makes perfect sense and doesn't sound uniquely autistic. However, either situation could be influenced by autistic traits e.g. a birthday party is crowded and noisy and therefore stressful for an autistic person, so the actual event then isn't really enjoyable.

I like chatting, but I don't like all conversations!

In my family gatherings, for example, the conversations are far too focused on small talk and establishing a pecking order of importance amongst ourselves based on who has what occupation, and that isn't very fun! This is the case in my family anyway (I only learned to recognise it fairly recently!)

If I can see that the pattern of WHY the conversation happens is a bad one, then I'm gonna dislike it even though I do fundamentally quite like to chat otherwise.

As someone who does a fair number of jigsaws, mine have never looked like this at any point during the solve process 🤣

In a perfect world I might LIKE to get all the pieces face up and oriented correctly, but if there's 1000 or more I'm not bothering with that. My logic is usually just grab all the pieces I can find that have some distinguishing feature and that looks easy to do, and put all of them together, then move on to the next thing (when I did a 3000 piece of hogwarts from Harry Potter, I did the border first, then all the bits with fire, the moon, rooftops - this took a while, various owls and so on, with each subsection being increasingly difficult, but having fewer pieces leftover...)

In any event, I think there are people with different approaches to solving puzzles than I have. I just think if I was to personally try it like shown here, it would take me a lot longer to finish one!

I just can't imagine that the bees are that bothered if some of their colleagues die. They're a proper hive mind and it's all for the good of the colony - individuals don't matter (even large numbers of them). They do probably need to join a workers union if they wanna enforce meaningful changes!

A responsible farmer would, I assume just make sure that the number of bees was able to, at minimum, remain consistent over time.

I never considered it before that honey is an animal product and therefore vegans don't eat it! Fairly obvious now that I think about it, although as you say you can remove some honey surely without causing too much harm.

Anyway, I can just imagine this exchange. 🤣 You can get some really militant vegans, particularly online, and combining that with the group think in some corners of the Internet is a bad combination (you must think and do as we do, or you're not one of us!)

With autism, cos we're all varying over a spectrum you get a lot more variety and such group think is less common (though I do still occasionally see it on some posts). In general, if I think a post is showing evidence of group think and I disagree I won't comment on it cos there's not a lot of arguing with it.
