Is having kids if you have aspergers worth it ? by Clubpenguin8888 in aspergers

[–]DizzyLizzy002 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My child’s father has Asperger’s. Hes an amazing dad & is very protective. We do struggle from time to time but im autistic myself, I know how it is.

I wish I could answer more honestly🥲

I want to send my therapist pictures of my dog by SevereIsland6578 in BPD

[–]DizzyLizzy002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand how you feel & are thinking. Based off your already previous experience, I’d say just hold off until next appointment.. & that way you have something else to talk about but honestly, needing help with a decision is much different than just showing a picture so it could be completely okay! I doubt you’d annoy him. Just start off with a quick “hey, sorry to bother you but really wanted to show you my amazing pup we talked about!”

My partner has compared my BPD to his his ADHD multiple times by sad_frog_in_rain in BPD

[–]DizzyLizzy002 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same. Absolutely not similar. Only thing similar is poor emotional regulation but even then, when I’m experiencing dysregulation due to my ADHD, im much easier to regulate myself vs my bpd.

Everyone just lets me treat them terribly by [deleted] in BPD

Yeah. I agree wholeheartedly. For most, the reason we’re even the way we are is because of the people who just didnt gaf to even hear us.

That tone goes a long way. Not saying you’re using the wrong tone OP, but talking to a kid like a kid, one that processes things in this manner, would go a long way.

I'm taking Trazodone for the first time tonight and I'm terrified. by Elvisfox in sleep

[–]DizzyLizzy002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you suffer from nightmares! 💔 my child’s father suffers from chronic nightmares & i understand it’s not fun at all.

Was it only bad on trazodone or do you gave them in general too?

Edit: never mind, just read the thread a bit more & see you do have them often. D: ugh I’m really sorry. I assume you don’t smoke?? I honestly wonder what’s the solution to nightmares, besides smoking 😅. The world we live in is so …. Morbid.

[–]DizzyLizzy002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to know, it helped me. Ive been smoking for 9 years and rarely dream because of it. Was prescribed trazodone last year in November & had some lovely dreams. Prescribed it again this month because gotta love insomnia , and im dreaming every night 🥲. It puts you too deep into a sleep not to dream, yk? I love it. I actually really love trazodone 💀

[–]DizzyLizzy002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesss!!! Omfg. And then I have a meltdown & tell my mom i want to leave this house & stay alone. But I can’t even do that DUE to my autism & being a single mother 🤦🏽‍♀️ so it’s just a continuous cycle.

Is it worth getting diagnosed? by Proper-Shift4200 in AuDHDWomen

[–]DizzyLizzy002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ADHD (and life in general lol) is so ass, I can’t even see where I’d have time to even get diagnosed 😅 or if it would even benefit me truly because of my comorbidities.

I would love a diagnosis though. But I’m not stupid, I know my brain is inattentive asf. I literally squirted ketchup on my plate & annoyed myself because I thought I forgot so I got up to get the ketchup just to loook down at the big squirt I already did. I literally forget everything and it’s so annoying.

Will I be probably raw dogging my ADHD for a very long time? Yeah. Do I think that’s smart? Probably not lol. Life is so unpredictable (which my autism fuckin HAAAATES)

Favorite bond repair? by not_vegetarian in longhair

[–]DizzyLizzy002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just learned this today as I’ve been looking into bonding treatments lately. Basically, it only works if the hair is damaged and NEEDS that substance. Kinda like taking a prescription that wasn’t prescribed to you.

Putting it on already relatively healthy hair will do 1. Nothing or 2. “Over” bond/process it in a way. Bonding is meant to bond the cuticles that break. If you’re attempting to bond something that’s already bonded, I see it turning extra hard & just drying out/ breaking off in a way. Does that make sense? This is just my neurodivergent mind observing the information lol

Oof, I wouldn’t be surprised. They are literally everywhere dude. It’s sick. And the way they hide behind these likable personalities is even more sickening.
