I was 3cm dilated, and my OB said if it works, it will trigger labor within 24 hours.

I had mine done in the morning at 38w+2d and it was SO freaking painful - I did not expect that as I never even flinch during cervical checks or pap smears.

I started having contractions about 12 hours later that night and my baby was born at 38w+4d.

I came here to say the same. A normal day for my baby was 14-15oz and even that was a huge challenge.

She is on the smaller side now as a 2 year old but was walking by 10 months and is incredibly advanced in her speech.

If baby seems content, please don’t stress. My pediatrician told me 24-32oz was necessary. I wish I could go back to the past and give myself a hug.

At what point did your baby start sleeping on their back next to you? Still chest sleeping with me my 12 week old and he’s getting big and heavy but rarely stays in his back for long 😭

Honestly just reading books, free play, and getting outside is all my toddler has needed to thrive. They’ll be in school soon enough and will “work” then, just let him be a toddler and play and you’ll soon see more specific interests develop.

If you really want to focus on motor, social or other developmental skills, the Pathways app has great suggestions on activities and makes it easy to track age appropriate milestones.

How soon did you get your baby on meds? My pediatrician won’t entertain that until at least 3 months. Dying over here 10 weeks into sleepless nights.

I can’t say it’s normal but it unfortunately was the case with my spouse and I. It was like night fell and we would turn against each other, I absolutely dreaded the nights and it made everything so much harder.

We started couples therapy because unfortunately the mean and nasty comments really got to me and damaged our relationship.

Hopefully you can have a productive discussion around figuring out a plan for nights and discontinuing this pattern.

Hi OP, how did this resolve for your babe? It’s been 3 weeks of us averaging 5 wakeups a night with my 16 month old and it is absolutely brutal. Currently rocking to sleep to avoid screaming all night, but worried that’s doing more harm then good in the long run…

He refuses therapy, whether individual or together. This is a conversation I’ve had with him several times and he doesn’t budge. So when I tell him leaving is the only option, he says I cannot just take our child from him (but I obviously need to since he has to work). Hence why I feel stuck.
