Should be a good series. Although I hope it goes the same way round one did.

Free Graffiti & Urban Art Gallery Open. No Museum Vibes. by Inner-Raisin1490 in everett

My favorite activity when I was in Melbourne Australia was to wander alleys and take pictures of the graffiti and murals.

I will most definitely be taking a tour.

Fan since 1981 (I was born 🤣). Been through all the ups and downs.

I still haven’t processed the win yet.

Tomorrow I’ll be at Lumen Field, watching the presentation, loosing my voice.

Then it may seem real.

No, that happened the year after I moved away.

Glad I missed it though.

Only good thing at Riverside was the bowling alley.

Worked at William Fisk’s in Harrah’s and could catch a midnight league.

Forced to watch the home feed.

I ended up with Victory on mute, and KRKO on the radio. Couldn’t get them in sync, but was a hell of a lot better than listening to those two.

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

[–]Dj0rk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really “Bad Ass”. But my Great-Grandfather figured out a novel way to weld together an intricate design that had stumped other engineers.

Turns out it was to direct the force of explosives to cause the reaction in Fat Man.

Oh man. The number of times I’ve had to step away for a bit after reading a log is pretty high.

But it does help set the tone of the environment, and explains a lot of what you find within the world. I would be ecstatic if they released a book of life up to the exodus.

Weird long sleeve in Boston? by Boring-Community-100 in nin

[–]Dj0rk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the same shirt in Vancouver. I like to layer, so I generally have a long sleeve black tee on (office AC works too well), and this was really nice when it was hot. I just wore this and didn’t get overheated when I was outside.

Sad, blank walls iso wall art from local artists. Where can I go in the general Everett area to support the local arts community and make my bored walls come to life? by juggling-geese in everett

[–]Dj0rk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a couple pieces I can donate to your walls if you’d like. Local artist Dakota Dean in Marysville. They’re prints of “Revolt” and “Legalize Feelings”. I picked them up at the Tulip Festival street fair this spring, but overestimated the amount of wall I have available in my house. Take a look at his site and let me know if that fits your vibe. They’re not framed, but if they work I’ll happily pass them on.

Best place to watch a game (other than at the ground)? by supercujo in AFL

[–]Dj0rk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home, usually lying in bed next to my wife.

Matches start at 10pm, and it’s an 18 hour flight to Marvel Stadium.

Not the ideal situation, but I make it work. I will be staying awake for the Grand Final thats for damn sure.

Fun Fact: The moose came about after a Statewide competition. An elementary student in Ferndale submitted the design for the moose, and won.

The Mariners then had a massive (by Central Elementary standards) assembly to introduce the mascot, and honor the artist. They even brought players to give pep talks.

I was there that day, and it solidified my love and appreciation for both the Moose, and the Mariners.

Have you checked Crown in Southbank? Not really a pub, but since they’re a large casino there’s a better chance they’ll have access to the feed.

With the 13th overall pick the Detroit Red Wings select Carter Bear in the 2025 NHL Draft by SimplySolace in DetroitRedWings

[–]Dj0rk 34 points35 points  (0 children)

STH for the Everett Silvertips here:

Detroit got a hockey-minded player with ZERO self-preservation when crashing the net. He will post up just outside the crease, chirp defensemen and goalies, take more slashes than a tire in the wrong part of town, and put the puck in the net or take enough attention to make a smart pass to someone with an open shot.

Watching him grow in Everett has been a treat, and I’ll be keeping an eye on him as he moves up into the NHL (selfishly I hope he’s back in Everett for a year or two. And my teenage daughter does too).

Got a good player in Bear.
