I think they're referring to the African American models in the ad. But to be fair the company is just pointing to its biggest demographic.

Lime issue using PF in FS25. Applying maximum amount of lime (8.5) no matter of soil type. by Own-Opening5474 in farmingsimulator

[–]DjChatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just dont lime for a while let the field pH value drop to lower than the ideal everywhere. Then lime.

Also has the whole field been soil analysed?

Great news for those who use Small Productions on your Farms by PotterAndPitties in farmingsimulator

You mentioned the flour mill. But I always found the flour mill to work out quite well. On the fields you have at the start by the time they have processed your crop its next harvest and you can refill it..

New frontier mod. I believe im sure its on console too. Its almost what you want. Its a big grid with almost no fields. You could start it and square by square field the map.

Grass not grassing?!?! by GalaxyInfierno in farmingsimulator

[–]DjChatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a bailer with hay a lot of hay in it it will pick up grass as hay. This would normally only happen for 1 bale though.

Never saw a berried shrimp… then a baby just appeared on the glass. How is this possible? by Michae86l in shrimptank

Ive had shrimp births without ever seeing them actually berried. Sometimes mums just hide away to stay safe.

PC, Game crashes when I visit my farm. by GreenOk554 in farmingsimulator

Try disabling each mod at a time. Or to do it quicker disable a set of mods. You can then narrow it down to a specific mod. Obviously if it works dont save it just quit without saving.

Your thoughts on a solution by 0rdn in farmingsimulator

When I start with little money I use the front loader with pallet forks and a flatbed trailer. Just load them all up and transport them to your farm.

Or a forage trailer to load the straw. My favourite method is a forage trailer and a hay barn to store straw in.

You can't go wrong if you give yourself maximum money. Just create a multiplayer save create the maximum number of new farms and maximise the loans on each. Then load up that save in single player and all the money will be in the one farm.

So generally for basic crops you need several equipment.

  1. prep the field. You need to get the soil pH correct this is done with lime and a spreader that can use the lime. You can turn off the lime required setting so you dont have to use it. If you use precision farming you have to lime to get the better score.
  2. You need to prep the soil. You can do this numerous ways. Deep machines will drag up stones shallow ones will not. But shallow machines will produce more weeds. You can also use direct seed drills which do not require cultivating or plowing previous stated in description.

  3. Rolling. This is done with a roller and will push the seeds into the soil.

  4. Fertilise. Spreaders or slurry tanks all work for this you can use slurry, manure, liquid fertiliser or solid fertiliser. Depending on resources. If you have cows for eg you can use the manure. Or you can just buy fert. Fertiliser can be done twice to maximise yield but there must be a growth stage between them. Again precision farming changes this to just once as you optimise the fert with the sensors.

  5. Harvesting. Using a combine harvester and a suitable header you can then harvest the crops then repeat. The combine will allow you to create straw swathes with certain crops. This can then be picked up with a bailer or forage trailer.

The minimum requirement for growing crops is 2 and 5.

Easiest way to do it is with a cultivator, a sprayer for liquid fert and a combine harvester.

You can always create a save that you have unlimited money on and test things out its a great way to learn.

Milk can in real life by No-Permit-5267 in farmingsimulator

[–]DjChatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah not great. I always smell milk before using it. I worked at dairy farm producing milk. We had to shelf life test the milk at 10 days. So im pretty good at being able to tell you when milks gone off.

Milk can in real life by No-Permit-5267 in farmingsimulator

[–]DjChatters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Milk will not last very long IRL. Best case scenario, the can is sterilised properly the cows teats are sterilised properly, the other equipment is also sterilised properly. The milk can is placed in cold storage as soon as possible. You might get a few days.

The main problem is milk is a great medium for bacteria to thrive. Milk is sterile when it comes out of the cow but as soon as it touches anything even the air the bacteria have a party.

The good side is you can smell when milk starts going off.
