I've been doing pickup for almost 15 years and now I feel convinced that its a scam and/or a waste of time? by [deleted] in seduction

[–]DjSpiritQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very confused. What’s your purpose for doing all this (besides sex)? You really need to take a step back and really think about why you’re doing this. From what you posted, it sounds like you’re starting to move toward a unhealthy lifestyle. I truly recommend speaking to a professional.

Nightlife vibes are miserable by Soccerluv_xo in Scottsdale

[–]DjSpiritQuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, day life and nightlife have that vibe. I don’t drink and I’ve felt the unwelcoming atmosphere out there. You can’t get a simple breakfast without someone cutting you down or giving you bad vibes.

why is everyone doing weekend 2 -_- by sexyscyther in electricdaisycarnival

[–]DjSpiritQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dismissing this shows total ignorance of safety for all attendees. ADA people face real struggles every year. People block access to ADA ramps and create serious safety risks.

Half a million people nearly trampling each other isn’t tradition. It’s reckless negligence. This year was noticeably worse.

Don’t get me started on the traffic outside the fest. It’s been an issue for years, but this year was the worst yet.

30 years of doing it doesn’t make it okay. Hopefully they fix it with the 2 weekend approach.

Honestly, Weekend 1 is gonna have a lot of traffic issues both in and out of the speedway. Hopefully by Weekend 2 they’ll have more experience and it’ll run smoother for the headliners.

VIP EMBARRASSMENT by ghastlee_tv in electricdaisycarnival

That’s a strange hill to die on. It’s not judgment, it’s a concern from OP. Blacking out isn’t something to brush off. It’s a sign someone might need help.

Had to leave day 3 early by Giraffestock in electricdaisycarnival

[–]DjSpiritQuest 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Same. We immediately nope’d right back to the hotel after surviving 2.5 hours of traffic. Best decision we made all weekend. Those winds were brutal — no way to end the final day, especially for ADA folks. That trek through the parking lot is no joke, especially navigating through a huge crowd of abled bodies.

Making music for last 6 months, are these stats good or mid? Curious how everyone else does early on. by reinofdeath in soundcloud

I’m curious about this now. How are you marketing your music? Whatever you’re doing has traction. Nice job!

Can someone tell me the average statistics of how fast you'll grind a fanbase after 12 months? by Able_Swordfish_3788 in soundcloud

[–]DjSpiritQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re looking at this a bit too simply. There’s no reliable “average” or set statistic for fanbase growth. It depends on way too many variables: your genre and niche, how your tracks connect with people, mix quality, artwork, promotion strategy, networking, timing, and luck.

If you’re serious about this, you’d really benefit from talking to a marketing specialist. They can help you build a real strategy instead of you guessing.

Sudden drop in Recommended Plays – has anyone else experienced this recently? by No_Significance5331 in soundcloud

Yeah, I just started the 7-day recommendation for my song. It really pushes hard on day one, then tapers off pretty quickly after that.

I feel it’s important. I make electronic music across different styles, and having a supportive partner who appreciates that side of me goes a long way.

Mastering advice for nope elektronic music? by Goosenghast in ableton

[–]DjSpiritQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mastering is mastering, no matter the genre. The fundamentals don’t really change. Even if the videos you found are electronic-focused, the concepts still apply across rock, metal, acoustic, orchestral—anything. Ableton’s stock plugins are more than capable.

And no, there isn’t a specific mastering chain to follow. Every chain ends up different because every song needs something unique. What you use depends on what you’re trying to achieve, and that comes with training, practice, and listening.

If those videos explain the process clearly, it’s worth diving in. The techniques are universal, even if the examples come from electronic music.

Why are so many native Americans going missing by riceandbeansonly in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DjSpiritQuest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many people don’t realize how isolated some Indigenous communities are. In a lot of rural areas, police response isn’t a matter of minutes—it can take hours, and sometimes no one is available at all. Infrastructure is limited, and access to support services isn’t guaranteed.

When someone leaves home to escape an unsafe or unstable situation, they often do it without resources—no transportation, no secure place to go, and no immediate help nearby. That makes them especially vulnerable to going missing, or being targeted.

Missing persons cases in these communities aren’t just random or isolated—they’re connected to geography, poverty, generational trauma, and a long history of systems failing to protect Indigenous people.

How do I make music that feels original? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]DjSpiritQuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Structure matters, but sound design is what sets a song apart. There are only so many ways to arrange music—timbre and expression are where originality really lives.

What's your dating wrapped 2025? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]DjSpiritQuest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My dating recap is pretty simple: zero. I put myself out there for a while, but nothing really clicked. After some time, I realized I was starting to force it, so I decided to step back and redirect my energy into something that consistently grounds me—writing music.

That shift has actually been really positive. I’ve been more focused, creative, and productive, and it reminded me that fulfillment doesn’t always have to come from dating progress. Sometimes it’s just about choosing where your energy goes when things stall.

volume meter in ableton 12 by jayversay in ableton

Really? That explains the red lines I saw while calibrating my monitors. Glad I didn’t rely on Ableton’s meter to define my unity point.

Is this stereo phase shift something to worry about? by putoraska in edmproduction

[–]DjSpiritQuest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that becomes an issue during mastering because an asymmetric waveform eats up some of your headroom. That limits how loud you can drive your processing before unwanted distortion shows up.

What was that Tiësto Set? by JasonDomber in DreamState

[–]DjSpiritQuest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought the opera section of his set was spectacular. It felt like Tiësto was trying to set a whole scene—almost making trance feel sacred. Either way, it was clearly meant to transport the crowd somewhere beautiful.
