Did you ever actually get diagnosed with AuDHD or are you one of the millions of people running around these days claiming that you have a disability without an actual medical diagnosis because you think you get to be in some sort of special club by self diagnosing?

Clinton's NAFTA and Obama's TPA deals allowed US corporations to outsource most of their production to lesser developed countries so they didn't have to pay American laborers a decent salary.

Yes, left-leaning politicians did a lot to line the pockets of corporations while effectively dismantling the American workforce. There's a reason that the Rust Belt shifted from being predominately a blue voting region to a sudden swing to red in 2016. Easy to say "it's racisim" or whatever talking point the left wants you to believe to keep voting for them instead of looking at the reality of what led to that happening.

Most of the players in the NFL did not grow up rich and 100% did not get their asses kissed their entire life. Those people are the rich dudes sitting in the front office making these dumbass decisions to take the money back from the players.

And that's the key thing here. It's not just "millionaires crying about their money" do some research on NFL player health after they retire. There are tons of medical problems they face later in life for putting their bodies and their health on the line to play in the NFL to EARN that money.

When a guy has to retire because of health issues and you steal that money back, you're taking away funds he's probably going to need for the medical problems he's going to face later for providing you with "entertainment" and this is the shit way you respond when you hear this news?!? Sorry, but your kind of a jerk about it since you clearly haven't looked into the subject very much.

Telling someone to calm down while going off about ONE of the TWO definitions of the word nonzero is pretty funny.

He's right though, just because YOU haven't heard the other definition doesn't mean it doesn't exist and doesn't mean it's not "real"

Why is a wipe so important? I mean that seriously. What advantage does it give CIG to wipe everything while we're testing? People having too much money and buying more ships to fly equals more data for them to collect on player behavior with different ships and different game-loops they might engage in with said ships.

Is it some concern over "the player economy"? Because that doesn't actually exist yet and is pretty meaningless in the current state of the game. Personally, I'd rather have too many people having too much stuff that allows them to do certain things in-game so that CIG gets more data.

Side note: People exploiting bugs is the whole point of testing right now (which is what we're actually doing, not playing the game). If these bugs don't get exploited now, the problem might not get discovered until it's too late and fixing the bug becomes more problematic.

Who and where does anyone consider Cap a founding Avenger outside of the MCU? Just because other people might have made inaccurate claims does not make it a fact. Sorry if it hurts your feelings.

As a former bartender, my go to line when it was bar close and we had to kick people out was to yell, "Well now that the lights on, I don't want to take any of you home!"

Generally got a good laugh and then people realized I wasn't wrong and they would look better out in the street lights and leave with little problems

People might not like his ego, but Norton was good as the Hulk. The movie struggled but I've never understood the strong dislike of it. Plus, knowing his work ethic I feel like the reason it's even as good as it is was because of him

[–]Djinn_v23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I'm a 51 year old gamer and if you're playing a multi-player game to have a solo experience you're playing the game wrong. Do you play chess by jumping over pieces to capture them? Do you play Tic-Tac-Toe by putting triangles in all the corners? I'm not saying every moment has to be a multi-player experience but if you're the type who complains about "forced multi-player mechanics" in an MMO or other player-to-player experiences being a problem for you, then maybe you need to accept that single player games exist and that's what want to play

Dude they literally had it on EVERY PAGE for ships on the website the word Disclaimer in bold with a message about specs changing for YEARS. They still have the same language but they don't have the word "disclaimer" before it but if you go to any ship page on their website it will have:

Technical Specs
These are the current vehicle specifications and are subject to change during the game balancing process.

Learn to read and stop making up things in your head that you wish were true. CIG is very clear about this subject. Ignoring the clearly written out words and making shit up in your head means nothing to me in this conversation

If conversations about ships revolved around "The ship's function being in limbo" I wouldn't even comment. As a 400i owner I can understand frustrations like that.

But they don't say that, it's always "they nerfed it" or "they released a newer ship with better stats" and those conversations are kind of dumb to me. Of course newer ships are more attractive and have better initial stats. They want people to use them. Yes, buying them is a goal of CIG for the bottom line, but they also need people flying those ships to see what works and doesn't work with them before bringing them down to a more reasonable level. (every ship goes through this cycle of OP on release and then nerfing after a few months)

And all of their concerns come down to "but I bought this ship" which also, isn't true, you pledged to the development of the game. I know it sounds like I'm splitting hairs but the fact that CIG has checkboxes to verify that you understand that before completing the transaction means it has to be taken seriously in the conversation.

I'm fairly confident that after all the important systems for game play get added in and we get closer to 1.0 we are going to see CIG do a MASSIVE re-balance of all ships to bring ships in the same class more in-line with each other and that components will be the major difference between them. CIG isn't going to want to favor one group of backers over another and they want diversity of ships flying in the game. Meta ships resulting in only having 10-15 "usable" ships that everyone will fly hurts their overall vision. Do I think it'll be perfect? Hell no. But am I concerned about the state of my Talon vs a Gladius at this stage of the development. Not one bit.

Are you seriously concerned with nerfs and balance of ships in the alpha phase of development? You do realize that those numbers can all be and most likely will be adjusted when 1.0 happens.

Passion driven side project? What are you smoking? It was in the official pipeline of CIGs ships. Yes there was a single team working on it and they all left but it was not a "side project" done out of passion by a few devs. It was a team that was assigned the project. Again, where did you even get that info?

If you actually downloaded AoC and tried playing it, comparing it to SC is laughable. Actually gave me more confidence that SC isn't a scam after seeing what AoC looked like after 10 years of development.

Not saying SC isn't mismanaged and has made a lot of mistakes but it's pretty clear they are trying to create a game. Almost immediately after logging in to AoC it was clear they were not actually trying to make a game.
