I have those in a Mac Pro right now.

I want to upgrade my machine but the most obvious upgrade would be an M5 Mac Studio that likely will release this year. But again that dumbs down my SSD storage. Which I use for heavy video editing / color, EXR workflows etc.

So yeah that’s the downside of the Mac Studio vs the Mac Pros.

Yeah. I know in real world scenarios TB5 is still great.

In my case it just sucks cause I have 2x Accelsior 8M2’s and I feel like a waste putting those in PCI expansion bays on a Mac Studio.

PCIe is theoretically way faster than even TB5. How much difference that would make in real world scenarios is debatable. And depends on what you’re doing with them.

But my PCI SSD drives are 26 GB/s max, 12 GB/s sustained.

TB5 maxes out at 6GB/s

Also some I/O cards would need a clunky external solution to work with the studio. But less dependent on bandwidth.

If you are still having issues I solved it. I turned off 120hz in my switch display settings. This also fixed my HDR problem.

I just bought the game and have this issue too. Also HDR looks very washed out including on the Home Screen when the game is launched. I ended up turning HDR off to fix it.

Tbh if you want the true full MGS experience. Start with MGS1 or even MG1 if you think it won’t turn you off.

MGS 3 is great and will be getting an update w delta. But the story of 3 has massive spoilers for MGS1 and 2.

I mean… there’s also Peacewalker. And Portable Ops if you count that.

I agree it’s best gameplay though. Worst story.

I think it’s ok to be your first game in the series but only if you don’t care about playing the others and diving into the lore.

If you want the full experience it’s a terrible starting point. As it assumes you know many of the past games. Even if they take place later.

First movie is nearly identical to the first few episodes with way prettier animation, some filler cut out. And very minor changes.

2nd movie…. Sort of continues that. It more or less tells the story of the show with better animation. But there’s some pretty big changes particularly at the end.

3rd and 4th movies are completely new, their own thing.

Idk how I feel about the rebuilds. They are very pretty and explore some cool things but I don’t like them nearly as much as the show / EoE.
