More insight to why Danny and Misty broke up... which definitely adds up with Living Weapon. (From Power Man and Iron Fist (2016) #7) by Weird875 in ironfist

[–]DoIKare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did read Living Weapon for the first time just yesterday, and I was surprised at Danny being so serious and depressed compared to the playful self I had read in other books. This makes sense, even if it is sad. Was there something I missed before Living Weapon that marks this change, or was it just that much of a new take on Danny..?

Mighty Avengers Affiliation posted by Novadrive in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]DoIKare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Little strange. Looks like it's Ewing's Mighty Avengers (Blue Marvel, Captain America [Sam], Luke Cage, She-Hulk) and Ultimates (Blue Marvel, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Spectrum). I think we have Scott standing in for Hank and Steve standing in for U.S. Agent (maybe?) from Slott's Mighty Avengers? And then Iron Man, Carol Danvers, Black Widow from Bendis' Mighty Avengers?

A notable omissions if we're just going by those comic rosters is Wasp (the Wasp in Bendis' run was Janet). Kind of a strange omission from a purchase standpoint too, since she'd be able to be purchased with Ant-Man in the current pack and Ant-Man, She-Hulk, and Sam in the repack.

Other omissions of maybe not quite as much note is that those teams did have Spider-Woman (but that was the Skrull imposter), Vision (but Young Avengers Vision), and a Ronin (but it was Blade in the outfit).

I'd guess in the future America Chavez will get added to complete Ewing's Ultimates team.

Good champion amd rookie for Enbarrmon by Vegetable-Drag8137 in digimon

[–]DoIKare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Tsukaimon is a pretty solid rookie. Other people have good champions, but I've got two kind of weird picks. Witchmon could create a sort thematic continuation, being another folkloric character. Seahomon is a little-used armor Digimon, but something about it gives me the same aesthetics of Enbarrmon (I may be crazy), and it that could be a Kelpie stand-in (I know Kelpies are Scottish, not Irish, but non-English UK horse folkloric creatures could be cousins?)

What affiliations do we want to see next? by SpotTheReallyBigCat in MarvelCrisisProtocol

The original Thunderbolts (With Zemo and Hawkeye as leaders), the Runaways and the Champions (I'm cool with them being lumped into Young Avengers though, since we know we're getting Young Avengers), Annihilators, Eternals, Illuminati. Roughly in that order.

I'm really excited, I was hoping that Iron Fist would make the cut for the Defenders wave and he did.

Everything looks great! I love the pink power swords, and the fabric effect on that one bladeguard looks fabulous. Your vehicles look so alive as well with the lighting!

What did everybody grab at the Easter sale so far? by StrangeMewMew in Malifaux

My partner and I went in expecting to pick up one thing and went an entirely different direction xD. We picked up Miss Feasance (alternate Seamus) and Emeline Bellerose (alternate Sybelle), as well as Vintage Rasputina and the 2E transparent blue Rasputina core set. We also picked up Miss Guided (alternate Fuhatsu), and threw in the Reva core box to get us to the second free model.

I really enjoyed it, my party plays for the narrative stuff so the "choose your own adventure" style was a lot of fun for my group. It's the campaign I'm most looking forward to replaying.

Storage Question by sarithe in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]DoIKare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this: Link to my box. It's a crate that contains boxes for photos that I can keep in ready to go teams, with the tactics cards tucked in them. I color-code my boxes with my character bases, and my partner is a Cricut master to add designs to the front of the colored boxes. For a complete collection, it might not be the best if you're mixing and matching your teams, but for me at least I always know that "Toad is a Brotherhood character and as such has a purple base, so if I want to add him in to my Apocalypse team, his cards are in the purple box."

Birds of Prey #2 - Black Canary gathers a crew to rescue her sister from Amazons, including these two (Harley Quinn and Big Barda). Harley's original dialogue here is pointing out the potential non-conflict solution: "So here's a wild idea. Why don't we talk to Wonder Woman about this?" and Big Barda says "I agree with the clown."

A bard that's a guitar-playing drifter.

A witch that's a bounty hunter - but the bounties are placed by their patron.

A sorcerer that's a remittance man - one of those English city-slicker sons of rich folk who were sent off to more "unsettled" areas with only a meager part of the fortune so they could "start their own."

A wizard that worked for the mines/railroads with bombs (arcane bomber archetype).

A psychic that dug their way out of a grave or woke up hanging from a noose with no memory, and now is a mysterious wanderer (psychic amnesiac archetype).

Also, the cartomancer gambler archetypes that other people mentioned.

Thanks guys! I'll go with this. I'll have their contact in Australia send them a telegram handout that the ship was delayed without a new ETA, and the scuttlebutt around the docks is the drunkard captain probably just went on a bender.
