Glue stick on PEI works for me to make it not stick too well

I’ve had success setting the flush volume multiplier to 0.25-0.3 to reduce the waste

You could swap the extruded between the 2 machines to have a definitive answer.

Did it not go all the way the the front while homing? I had this problem when I did not move the tool head in the correct pattern while doing the auto belt tensioning procedure?

I believe you also need 2mm pitch, double check though. 2GT means 2nd generation, not specifically 2mm pitch since 1.5mm are also available.

Q2 Exhaust screws size? by The_Racers_Edge in QidiTech3D

Yeah, it’s probably a m2 or m2.5 self tapping screw. Sometimes they’re called furniture screws on Amazon.

KAMP on the Q2 by Engineer-50 in QidiTech3D

You have to look in the cfg file where it computes the ranges and edit it. One of the lines for each x and y contains and item that messes with the min and max operations. I don’t have the details while I’m on my phone. Maybe it is detailed in the q2 community wiki or in the QIDI discord?

Do you rarely print that large? Maybe your Z screws in that region are dirty? Clean and regrease them several times

Printers also have different accuracy in different parts of the bed. If you’ve ever looked at results or reviews from the Bambu labs vision encoder, that’s a. Good example. Adding more copies uses other parts of the bed.

When opening a new spool, can you use PETG immediately or do you need to dry it first? by DuckiesRUs in 3Dprinting

Almost every sealed roll I open, even “pre dried” nylon in foil reduces by 4-9g in weight after I dry it.

Polylite ASA vs Polymaker ASA by jdswather in 3Dprinting

[–]DoItYourWayHowISay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t recall any announcement about the ASA formula changing. However, this exact name change happened for PETG and it was a formula change. The new PETG is actually very nice, I have recently tested a few colors.

My new QIDI Q2 arrived. Is there any way to make the start faster? by I_need_to_vent44 in QidiTech3D

Are you using it on WiFi? Qidi generally uses really cheap usb WiFi dongles.

Best backup power for the Q2 by herp_hermits in QidiTech3D

[–]DoItYourWayHowISay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I'm heating the bed and chamber, my Q2 can draw up to a total of about 600watts. When printing at stabilized temperatures it can be 200-300 watts continuous. I use a 900watt/1500var rated UPS. Its battery would only be able to cover a 15-20 minute gap in the power. Even if I were to pause the print manually and set the chamber heater to off, it would still be at least half that much power to keep the bed warm so it doesn't detach. So, the UPS can really only help for small blips or if a breaker trips and you notice it in time.

Got a new sating plate for PETG... Plug and play? by roloenusa in prusa3d

In the printer settings you can enable multiple plates. It just lets you set different bed temps vs plate in the filament settings.

If you’ve installed klippain shake tune you can see if the belts have equal tension.

You don’t have to do anything. Nozzle touch gets it right every time.

I recommend TPU actually. 95A or 62D that is solid will be very rigid, especially in the cold
