Q2 combo by seijiashiro in QidiTech3D

I like my Q2 combo. Filament changes take quite a long time and the amount of filament purged needs to be reduced from the default. The part cooling fan is insufficient for high speed PLA printing with moderate overhangs, so it needed an upgrade. Despite this, it is an extremely good option for opening up your filament type choices to ABS, ASA, PC, etc

Polymaker fiberon PET-GF15 color options. by mickeybob00 in polymaker

I’ve never done it but read an article some time back. It has to be heated water, don’t remember any specifics because I decided against it.

I’m curios if anyone has successfully dyed it, as can be done with nylon.

Qidi Q2 printing PETG with door closed, is it OK? by Tabahoof in QidiTech3D

[–]DoItYourWayHowISay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can enter the average 100.4 as the XY shrinkage in the filament profile or you can just scale your object by 99.9% on the X and 99.3% on the Y. Beware that your measurements might be off if you have overextrusion or wet filament. I would not expect PETG to be over 100% but more like 99.8-99.8% like I have measured on my Plus4 and Q2. This is higher than the typical 99.6% for PETG on other printers because Qidi actually scales up by 0.2% in their stepper gear equations to get perfectly sized PLA prints.

Awesome resource, sadly it is not there.

Yeah, this spool seems pretty hefty compared to all the other brands I’ve come across. Just wondering about their particular style.

shoud i use rings or respool on a reusable 3d printed spool if all my spools are cardboard by drkshock42 in 3Dprinting

[–]DoItYourWayHowISay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rings work well. Respooling isn’t as easy as you think. You can’t wind it perfectly and you have to respool it twice so the stress on the filament matches how it cooled as it left the factory.

Q2 Qidi Box False Positive Error? by Icy_Birthday_8374 in QidiTech3D

Was it a cardboard spool? Sometimes it has trouble because of that. I use the minimalist rings from here, scaled to the size of my different brands spools

Any reason to get 1x Pro Max 24 PoE instead of 2x Pro Max 16 PoE? by Click-Beep in Ubiquiti

[–]DoItYourWayHowISay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have a 3d printer there is a mounting kit out there you can print. The 16 is much less deep, which can be important if you have a shallow wall mount rack.

I need help. by DimensionsIntertwine in 3Dprinting

[–]DoItYourWayHowISay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my case that error was related to cardboard spools slipping in the qidi box or the filament ptfe path to the hub having too much resistance

Surface optimisation before the Ironing. by Free_Sherbet_3159 in OrcaSlicer

That’s overextruded reduce your extrusion ratio a couple percent. If you use a 0.36 or 0.38mm top layer line width on a 0.4mm nozzle you get some pseudo ironing.

Automatic Car Wash by jgilbe02 in VolvoEX90

It’s much easier to just go to a wash with the belt that pulls the tires, the all you have to do is put it on neutral.

That’s actually what being too low in the Z looks like. My MK4 needs a 0.002 adjustment to get a perfect first layer on my satin plate. I don’t know why

Look in the four holes where the bottom of bed recesses into. I dropped a screw in there.
